He not only paid for but risked the capital in the first place by choosing that machine. He also has the stress and cost of maintaining the machine. The worker just comes in and effectively hires it.

Instead "smash rocks together", ancap should reply with "If you want it, buy it. Get some friends together, save money, pool that money to buy machines, and form a cooperative to compete against me. If I am really just a leech, you'll be able to out-compete me since you won't have that cost."

Personally I like the idea that people should be able to live as they see fit, in different communities or around the same area. If you want to go live together and make your own community - you wanna be a communistic society? Go for it! You wanna be a anarcho-capitalist? Go for it!

Personally I feel that if I could push a hard reset button on society and set it up in various communes with varying ideologies and social contracts all bound together for common defense and development that would be the best. However I doubt that's possibly in this world realistically.

Communism is not some kind of a idea regarding voluntary common ownership, such as a stock company, it is an idea regarding the confiscation of all the means of production. Saying that people should be free to live in a communistic society is saying that they should be allowed to expropriate.

Observation: I've never met a socialist who has ever held more than an entry level unskilled position.
