technology 内の Jinxmerhcant によるリンク The US Supreme Court has approved a rule change that would allow law enforcement to remotely search computers located anywhere in the US.

Your edited title misses one of the biggest points of the article. The FBI doesn't need to know where the target computer is, therefore it doesn't even have to be in the US.

Lol. You are reading way too much into this. The absolute best one could hope for is a change in the system for future primaries. In fact, that is all plaintiffs have asked for.

You shouldn't have changed the title. The article is about changing your password, not your ID.

This new model looks nice, but there's no damn way I'm paying $15/month for the subscription.

The point of the article (even the title) is that the new model doesn't have a subscription.

[–]dwntwn_dine_ent_dist 2ポイント3ポイント  (0子コメント)

Analyzing hypotheticals like this is not an objective task. The are a million ways to imagine a world in which Hillary is a man. For example,

Hillary (now named Hank) never marries Bill, becomes a defense attorney, never enters politics.

Hank marries Bill, but their homosexual relationship prevents either of them from making any political ground in the 1980s.

Hank gets drafted and dies in Vietnam.

[–]dwntwn_dine_ent_dist 10ポイント11ポイント  (0子コメント)

Your making the point for the other side. 10A grants the states the right to negate local representation.

The federal government never expressly reserved that right, so the right to choose local government falls back to the local governments

The right to choose local government falls back to the discretion of the state.

Roku 内の Philo1927 によるリンク Roku CEO opposes FCC plan to open up cable boxes

[–]dwntwn_dine_ent_dist 7ポイント8ポイント  (0子コメント)

Wood thinks that the internet is already spurring innovation in the cable industry, it would increase costs for consumers, and tech giants would just use this as another way to expand their reach.

None of these seem both true and relevant.

1) Already innovation? Why put on the brakes?

2) Cable companies will still rent boxes. Consumers just get more choice and so it should drive down what is currently monopoly pricing.

3) Tech giants instead of cable giants will expand their reach. Why should I care ?

Not upset, don't really care. I just took exception the the broad generalization that blocking cars is always criminal. I can see that I was attributed all sorts of other meaning by many readers. Because I am confusing the issue, rather than adding to it, I am removing my comment.
