The Death Grips' highly anticipated album 'Bottomless Pit' has been partially leaked through a soundcloud exploit (as far as I understand).

The leak is inevitably posted to the sub in various threads and the community is split on what to do. Is it right to listen to the tracks if the artists have not intentionally released it? Will this be detrimental to the band? WWDGD? It didn't matter though because mod u/boxenstein began deleting all links to the leak.

After considerable backlash and (now deleted) threads calling for u/boxenstein's demotion he decides to cave, posting this thread titled "GO RIGHT AHEAD" with the text

post whatever you want. leaks, memes, unsynced mashups, discussions, anything you want. be my guest!

He stickies the mega upload of the leak to the top of the page also with a comment

However the sub by this point has NO LOVE.

Someone else needs to take over your job bro. I'm not saying you're evil or anything but you're clearly too emotional for this position. You're supposed to be unbiased and for the people and you've been neither of those things. Your passive aggressive, controlling attitude is making this reddit an uncomfortable place to be and that's unfair to the people that come here.

honestly i hope death grips legit calls it quits later tonight. all these fans are fucking dinks. im still going to wait a week until i can purchase it and listen to it
