The story of how I got the sub:
Jcm has now given me permission to post this story.
We've been getting dox threats for a couple weeks now, ranging in credibility. I haven't been too worried since I'm honestly so proud of everything I've done with this community. By abusing outrage culture, we've made national news multiple times and the then-head mod had me interview with them. I've done a lot and anyone who'd flip out over things that come from this account was never going to be someone I'd want to be friends with anyways. That's not to say I
want
to be doxxed, but worse things could happen to me.
While the threats were going on, Jcm was getting messages from a sketchy throwaway account. I've seen a couple messages that transpired between them but I don't know the full conversation. Somehow though, this throwaway got Jcm's attention and got him seriously concerned for the direction of this sub and worried that we were too offensive, too shitlordish, and too trolly. He began giving away lots of info about the innerworkings of this place and then emailed me somewhat frantically when the throwaway turned on him.
We spoke over the sub and I told him that what he did was objectively not very clever. This was really just some throwaway messaging him to say that we need to tone it down. He agreed with me that he handled it in a way that the head mod should not and he volunteered to step down. Despite what SRD says, I think it's very obvious why he'd be giving me the subreddit. SJWs say there's no reason, but that's because SJWs think everyone secretly holds their worldview and that if SRD hates me then the centipedes must too. I disagree.
When I got the sub, NYPD-32, Lil-z, and GumbleDog were demodded and remodded. I promised each of them that when things cool off, I'll reshuffle the modlist and restore seniority. GumbleDog and Lil-z were okay with that but NYPD-32 was not. He's currently flipping out and coming up with wild conspiracy theories about what I must have done to take it. The real answer is that I've put so much work into talking to the community, working with the other mods, cleaning the modqueue, and making this work. There are very natural reasons to put my in charge.
One of the things they're saying is that I bought the sub. I'd love to hear the justifications for that. So far, nobody has even pretended to have any evidence at all for this claim. Nobody's even bothered to fake anything. What they point to is that I stickied a link to a GoFundMe made by the friends of a well respected member of the
/r/RedPillWives
community, which I've always had a great relationship with.
That sticky is exactly what I said it was. Someone who I like a lot, who I've talked to a lot, and who's content I love, from a community that I've been part of since before The_Donald even existed, got hit hard with by the Houston flood. I have a great resource here to help out so I asked if she'd mind if I stickied her post, since a lot of subscribers here are just naturally very giving. It went from $1900 to just over $2000 before I took the sticky down. I was very open and honest about how that post had nothing to do with Trump and how I was using my resource to take a liberty as a mod to help a friend, and how I knew from the onset that there'd be complaints (though the upvotes outnumber the complaints 100 to 1.) Nobody was pressured to do anything and I didn't profit one single penny.
This subreddit has so many enemies and they love to slander. NYPD is honestly just butthurt that he wasn't given the sub. He quite frankly didn't deserve it. He never made any attempt to reach out to the other mods and I bet none of you have ever even heard of him. He figured that he was too high up to not receive the sub and so he decided not to even try. No other mod shares his attitude and only SJWs seem to have an issue with any of this. This is a great community and I really don't think anyone was buying the SJW story, but now you have the honest version. Thanks for reading and for Making America Great Again.
