True, the mods are cool. I just don't like the people that downvote criticism of FNaF/Scott by principle. That's pretty much all this drama is about. Jonochrome never said "you shouldn't like Scott or FNaF anymore either", he was stating what he thinks. I don't get why everyone is so offended.

Reason most are getting upset is mainly due to the factor Jono was just about lashing out at Scott. Calling him out that he was just beating a dead horse for a cash grab.

I think most of the fan base is fine with criticizing Scott, it's when it comes off as a immature, hate filled rant most are going to take offense.

Also if I remember correctly someone can correct me if i'm wrong Jon has called Scott "Greedy" before to the point Scott flat out stated he's not doing this for the money, let alone most of his fan base knows he donates a lot and I mean A LOT of his earnings to charity streams.

Last time I checked Scott is the one who should probably be forgiving Jonochrome. I can take criticism, but what Jonochrome did was borderline slander. I don't really hold grudges, so I don't have that hard of a time forgiving people, but I can't help but to feel like there is something kind of messed up about this whole situation.

Lets face it, the reason why Jonocrome has been elevated to this degree of success is because of the FNAF series and the name recognition that came with it. And here he goes insulting both the game series itself along with its developer for gameplay decisions he personally did not care for. The FNAF series is a game that requires a certain taste, I get that. But Jonochrome has already made it quite clear that he has ceased to enjoy the series. What should one do in a situation like this? Stop. Move on and pay no attention to things you do not like. That is what drives me up a wall about those who specifically go out of their way to find FNAF content just to insult it without any proper critical rhetoric. It seems like they are more obsessed with ruining others enjoyment of the game rather than actually saying anything of substance.

If people like something that doesn't harm you, by all means let them enjoy it. Feel free to criticize it by all means, but do not insult the developers and the people who have a good time with it.

I forgive you Jonochrome. But know that you have ruined the the chance of me ever supporting you as a game developer.

Jono sounds like he is needlessly bitching. We get it, what he is saying is no different to what others have said before. People like FNAF, people are willing to pay for it and want more of it. Who cares what Scott is doing. Scott makes neat games and they are certainly not perfect. He has many flaws with his design, but that's why I find them charming [font design is his worst area imo]. People look into this too much. Other people claim him to be amazing, but Scott himself has never said such a thing. Keep in mind, if he was doing everything for the money- he wouldn't be donating such large sums that often.

Peeps really gotta calm the hellums down in this community. If you like it, stay. If you don't? Leave. It's not difficult. Scott isn't the perfect game dev, but I enjoy his quaint games.
