West Ham manager Slaven Bilic hopes Manchester United win FA Cup, which would boost his side chances to qualify for European Football.
With 4 games to go , Bilic side sits 6th in the Premier League which is the last Europa League qualifying spot – they currently have 1 more point than Liverpool who stands 7th.
West Ham actually has had an impressive season, with Dimitry Payet as their key player alongside Andy Carroll. The French International has scored 12 goals and assisted the same on his first season on England.
Bilic admits that he will be rooting for Manchester United on FA Cup final vs Crystal Palace next month, as it would increase The Hammers chances for Europa League football next season.
“We are feeling really motivated and good. And, of course, we would like to see Manchester United win the FA Cup to give us a cushion as well.” said Slaven Bilic.
“Of course everything is in our hands, so we would rather do it ourselves than wait a week after the season and be a Manchester United fan.”
Slaven Bilic once again confirms that Champions League football is impossible for his side , since they got to recover 8 points on the last 4 games, but he admits that a Top Six would be perfect for his side this season.
“Top four is very hard for us, but we didn’t approach that subject 10 or eight weeks ago. We are still approaching the same way.Top six is a target and has been for quite a while. With four games to go, we have a little gap but we can’t afford to lose games.” finished West Ham manager.
