Bear with me on this one (this is gonna go deeper than the average shady/shitpost comment).

First of all, Violet never really seemed to acknowledge her ethnical background while on the show or through her performances, so a lot of the reaction seems to be coming from that.

Secondly, outside of America, one-drop rules doesn't seem to make much sense. Since racial placement is not an absolute concept, you have to keep in mind that in south-american countries a lot of what you perceive as "latino" can actually be white within the context of a given society (source: I am Brazilian and an anthropologist). Example given, I am latino to most of americans, but in Brazil no one would bat an eyelid to consider me white.

All of those things considered, I think she presents herself and is perceived as a white person (she was part of Aryan Airlines, after all).
