Fellaini was brilliant in link up play in the first half. A huge amount of attacking plays went through him on the edge of their box.

Only took Van Gaal two years to realise that's what he's good at!

We all been saying Fellaini is better in the box, just needed to ensure that we don't play hoof ball. Why can't the players show more of this urgency in BPL?

We outplayed them first half, they outplayed us second half. In the end their striker choked and ours was clinical which was the difference today. 3 passes in the end and Everton hearts were like broken glass haha.

The way we completely fall asleep after we score is something that needs to be addressed, or we will make the FA cup final difficult for ourselves when it doesn't have to be.

De Gea was fantastic, as with many other attackers. Don't even get me started on Martial, what a player and more importantly what a game.

The last minute goal hides the fact that we were very lucky not to actually lose that. It's a great feeling but Everton had us in the second half, even despite the decisions going against us.

Thought Van Gaal's subs worked well. Valencia played very well again coming on.

Fellaini was very good and the goal plus the block was absolutely huge.

I posted this as test just before but the mods deleted it. I just want others opinions on this and since this is a serious thread I may as well post it here and see what you guys think.

LVG should leave United at the end of this season ONLY if he insists on retiring at the end of his 3 year contract with us. That's my problem with him. Yes, we've had some terrible games this season. Yes, we may lose our place in Champion's League and Europe next season. Yes, we don't score as many goals as we used to and we don't play with the same sense of reasonable urgency as we used to under Fergie. Yes, LVG has made some questionable decision during his time with us.

But I would be more than okay with him staying with us IF he agrees to stay longer! As it stands right now, he wants to retire at the end of his contract with us. I don't like that one bit. If he wants to be done with football, that is his decision and I respect it. But we as a football club are at a very delicate phase right now where we need consistency, even if we're not grinding out great results right now.

I read somewhere that Fergie was under lots of pressure during his first few years at United because he wasn't getting results, then he started winning. I'm not comparing Fergie to LVG because clearly they are have different methods and visions when it comes to football. But LVG is a proven manager, even if his methods are different. In other words, he is no Moyes. If LVG tells us that he will stay until we are firmly back with a better structured youth system and an A team, then I'd say give the man all the time and resources he needs because he can get us places.

But if he insists on seeing out his contract, regardless of where we end up at the time, I say he should go at the end of this season so we can focus on our present as well as future with someone else.

We have one more game to go. Watford gave us two hard games and had Ighalo been on form, we wouldn't have gotten 6 points from those fixtures. I'm a bit more scared of Palace, though. If Zaha and Bolasie are fit, they might cause some real problems. Deulefou caused us some problems when he came in. Palace wingers might be able to the same but for the whole game. It was a phenomenal game today, but we should finish games off early when we're on top, else they will come back to bite us.

Loved the game, but I really do feel a really good 10 will allow these kids to really thrive.
