Some people are way too overconfident.

We were the best team in the world when we played Everton in the 2009 semi, they had a worst squad than they do now and they still somehow managed to beat us.

Both managers under big pressure, neither can afford to lose as a sack is likely to follow.

Martinez is going to be sacked anyway and LVG, as much as i hate to say it will not be here next season. It's so blatantly obvious. I'm overconfident? Nah, it's the fact that Everton have fallen apart and they couldn't give a shit whether they win or lose because a.) lost faith in their manager b.) 1/3 of that team will be moving on in the summer c.) we beat them not long ago.

I spent my Wednesday watching Merseyside derby (blame cable guy). Everton may have a leaky defense and loads of injuries/suspensions but they are always protected by defensive midfielder who rarely get up in the field. They also rely on the Lukaku and speedy winger to counterattack. Comparing this to our side by side passing and dull attack, I am no way taking it as a easy victory

The idea that we should win this easily is making me think we're going to lose. Surely Everton can't be so bad again despite their injuries. Van Gaal's reign is basically a cycle of good results follow by a big letdown.

Our record at the new Wembley in the FA Cup is pretty shit. Even in the League Cup it hasn't been great. Spurs was 0-0 and against Villa there was an argument Vidic should have gotten a red early on.

EDIT: Also the CL Final but that was more facing the greatest team ever.

I think just dropped. Rojo has looked suspect since coming back and Darmian was great against Palace so I don't see that changing.

Sad situation, then. I wonder if we may have seen the last of Rojo in a red shirt. We will have too many players capable at LB for him to get in the team next season. He did have a run of good performances at LCB before getting injured last season but we're likely to buy a new CB this summer.

I think there's a future for him at LCB. Blind's performances there this season have been excellent and I'm sure we're bringing in another CB this summer, but I think he can be a strong rotational player.

We're short on defensive cover, can't see one of the senior players there being allowed to leave in the summer, especially when he can cover two positions.

He was injured but I believe he's fit and dropped not so much for his form but just that Valencia and Darmian have been playing well of late.

What does everyone think about a midfield 3 of Schniederlin, Fosu-Mensah and Rooney? Or Carrick, Fosu-Mensa & Rooney. Every bit of info I've ever watched about Fosu-Mensa says his best position is a box-to-box or D-midfielder. I'd like to see him there.

Jagielka is the one I'm worried about being fit. He's the glue that holds their otherwise shite defence together. Stones has been very poor lately and Baines is past it.

Seeing the worst Everton display I've ever seen on Wednesday, and how it gave the impression after 3-0 down and a red card - the players looked fed up and IMO looked like they were making a statement towards the manager.

They're in a shambles right now and i fully expect us to take full advantage of that. Can't see anything else but a win tomorrow and hopefully, a very nice comfortable win.
