God these threads always come after we manage to win vs low level teams. Now we only need the Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea/insert random rivalry team here to make a post about why we should keep LvG.

The last few days I've been so positive looking forward to next season. Imagine a Mourinho led counter-attacking team with Memphis, Martial and a world class right winger, with Luke Shaw in full flow overlapping Memphis. Rooney playing a deeper role alongside Morgan and Ander in a 4-3-3, with Smalling, a new centre back partner and Darmian, all in front of the best keeper in the country. Oh my goodness.

Can someone knock me back down to earth please??

I don't see Memphis and Mourinho working. Total opposite of a Mourinho player

Also well sign a cm or two, no way it's Rooney, Herrera and Schneiderlin starting for us.

Mourinho always buys a lot of players especially in his first season

Why do people see Memphis as someone who is amazingly good? He has it all to prove. Adnan is better than him right now and he never gets mentioned.

I do not agree with that at all. I see a huge amount of talent in Memphis and with a first choice full back and a system that suits him I (ME, MYSELF, MY OWN OPINION) think he could be great next year.

We're gonna have a decade of Marcus Rashford Eto'o, Anthony Martial Henry, Cameron Borthwick-Dani-Alves, and Tim Fosu-Mensah Keane. There's also Shaw coming back and Renato Sanches probably signing in the summer. This young core is absurdly promising. No team comes close, just need two marquee names in their primes (Griezmann/Hummels) and we can compete with anyone next season.

The ONLY positive is from the youth that's been brought through. Rashford and Fosu-Mensah in particular look like great talents, who will hopefully get given more time next year under a new manager.

We have a very good shot at FA Cup and third place finish this season. That seems like good progress.
