One of the things said to be standing in the way of Jose Mourinho's potential move to Manchester United is his reputation for stifling the development of young players at various clubs - but there's one teenager at Old Trafford who's said to have caught his eye.

A single sentence dropped at the end of an ESPN FC report about Mourinho's Old Trafford ambitions has been grabbing some attention, with claims that the former Chelsea boss has been 'privately raving about the form of Marcus Rashford'.

It's also said that the Portuguese manager would want Rashford to play a large part in his potential United lineup, which would see the 53-year-old eschew his habit of big-name, big-money signings to lead the line for his teams.

That being said...Mourinho has been heavily linked with an approach for Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic should he take the reins from Louis van Gaal in the summer, with Spurs star Harry Kane also said to be in his sights.

18-year-old Rashford has enjoyed an attention-grabbing start to his Manchester United career since injuries forced him into the limelight earlier this season, hitting seven goals in 13 games across all competitions.

His goals tend to come at crucial times for his side too, with winners against Manchester City and Aston Villa to go with goals to give United the lead in wins over Arsenal, Midtjylland and West Ham. United have, thus far, won every game in which Rashford has scored.
