The sub went from "gghazi's being really mean to him" to "maybe he should unironically kill himself for the good of the world". I've seen two good people make serious attempts, and I don't want to play a hand in a success.

i mean for what it's worth most regular users here don't actually get that legitimately unhinged and upset by the fact that stupid fucks exist and can use the internet. but there's a pretty chronic pattern of certain kinds of drama and people who take it far more seriously than is healthy.

there's a difference between "being a total cunt" and "seriously encouraging people to commit suicide" and for whatever reason there are people who think that jumping the fence is something to be proud of rather than a sign of personal dysfunction.

I love the free n' wild spirit of /r/drama and I am the first to invite crazies from /r/truewomensliberation or /r/badphilosophy, but this was different.

A bit of banter and internet tough guy is fine, new accounts highfiving each other because some guy might have committed suicide while shitting in the thread is just..bad.

This sub's great because we don't have a stick up our arse or an obvious agenda. I hope neither changes.

Yeah, it wasn't cool. Dude almost definitely has a personality disorder, most likely Borderline given the love you/hate you shifts and flair for the, ahem, dramatic. They are at an elevated risk of self harm and suicide though so egging him on is pretty low.
