Anyone got a gif of Mata at the end of tonights game, with the ball at his feet, in fron t of goal, and looking completely out of ideas?

That's a instinct of a winger or Striker to shoot at first time. Not something a number 10 at RW would even think of

Being played out of position doesn't mean he loses his instinct. Nonetheless there are plenty who would have, Kagawa would have, Rooney too

Why not? Coutinho is always looking for a shot. Lampard always looked for a shot, if your number 10 is always looking for a pass instead of a shot they are lacking a key part of what should be a part of their game.
