The urethane balls are more durable than the polyester balls.

The core in the Mix is very very weak (it's a pancake), and the urethane cover is not like what they have on the Pitch Black - it won't be hooking like a 'normal' urethane ball will. It will very much have a similar shape to a polyester ball - pretty damn straight.

If it goes straight, then I think it's a good spare ball. A Mix isn't a bad option.

My point is that it is boring and ugly compared to some of the older balls they used to offer (brain storm - soccer/baseball/ basketball... Etc. and now they don't even offer that. I'm not doubting the performance of what they currently offer, just wish they'd offer a cool designed polyester ball as well.

As I said, durability. I'd rather an ugly looking durable ball than a flashy one that's more susceptible to cracking.

But that's just me.

Exactly, that's just you. Again, I'm wondering why they don't offer a cool looking one. Doesn't mean they can't have the urethane spare balls as well. But it can't hurt to have one or two cool polyester balls available as well for those who want it, and change the look like twice a year.

Write a letter to Storm! Wouldn't hurt to ask!
