LifetimeUpgrades.com has downloaded and installed WindowSpace 2.5.1 on a Windows 7 64-bit operating system using the developer's default settings. The download and install went perfectly and we were soon up and running after a nag screen to register. We have found WindowSpace to be an easy to use software program that leaves the user in control of their desktop space. Yes we realize with the addition of Windows 7, edge snapping is a standard feature but what we liked about this software is that it takes snapping to a couple of steps further. Using this software on dual monitors was also a snap. What Windows 7 lacks, WindowSnap seemed to pickup. If you use a dual monitor, you know Windows 7 by default will not snap to some edges but we found this software to recognize all our monitor's edges. The software was able to snap on both screens and with the shortcut keys we were quickly rearranging the screens to be more productive. IF you are worried about another pieced of software running in the background causing a pull on your system resources, don't. We didn't see any noticeable lag from them. Free Alternatives are available but this is the problem we have found with them. Most are out of date and most are not reliable as to where we have actually seen one website state, "there is no reason why your computer wouldm't crash". So as a final warning, be careful if you are looking for a freeware product of this type.

Now, you do not have to reach for the mouse or sweep the finger across the touchpad to move a window on the screen, make it bigger or smaller. With WindowSpace, you can also quickly maximize a window vertically or horizontally, rather than open it full-screen. This feature comes in handy if you want to see the window content with the minimal amount of white space. Also looking at two vertically opened pages sitting next to each other makes things a lot easier to compare, or move content between them.
WindowSpace gives you even more opportunities to manage windows with the keyboard. In just one press of the hotkey, you can tile all desktop windows vertically or horizontally, cascade, or close them. Other useful features, "Minimize To Tray" and "Hide Window" will help you to get rid of the clutter in the taskbar.


NEW VERSION CHANGES:
Added full support for Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit)... Some default hotkey combinations were changed... Fixed an issue with storing Win+[...]+Arrow Keys hotkeys.
