ブラジル、クリチバにある、オスカーニーマイヤー美術館での展覧会が始まりました。巨大な目の形の建物の瞳にあたる黒いガラス壁の内側に、13本の青い光 のシリンダーを並べ、また、部屋の両端にガラス板を設置しました。反射の力で、青い光は壁を突き抜け、光のシリンダーは無限に増幅し、空間は拡張され「永 遠の時間」が生まれました。作品は、長さ３０m巾10m高さ10m。入口は２カ所。左右のデッキから作品を鑑賞できます。ブラジルのクリチバ・ビエンナー レ２０１５の一環のこの作品、オープニングはとっても盛大でした！会期は１０月３日から１２月６日まで。
Yumi Kori installation at Oscar Niemeyer Museum in Brazil has just completed! Kori installed 13 blue light tubes long the glass wall, and installed glass panels on both end of the room. The light penetrates the museum black glass wall, infinite landscape was born by the light reflections, and museum space was expanded. It is in a part of Curitiba Biennial 2015. Open on October 3rd and will stay until December 6th. in Curitiba, Brazil.

EUの中心の町、ブリュッセルのギャラリー Platform102で、郡裕美がサイトスペシフィックな空間アート作品をつくりました！天窓を手がかりに、撚りのかかっていない羊毛の原糸を使って、窓が紡ぎだす空間を現しました。「windowspace」は、見る人の想像力を縦糸に、光や影、風や音、空の風景や町の景色が絡み合って編み出されます。ふわふわの羊毛が作る境界線は柔らかく曖昧で、鑑賞者が移動するたびに空間の形が変わり、時には風景に溶けて空間が消えてなくなったようにも感じられます。ギャラリーを訪れた人々は、作品の中を歩き回りながら、それぞれの「windowspace」を発見し、そこで時間を過ごしながら作品を楽しんでいただきました。写真を添付します。ご感想などお聞かせ願えれば幸いです

I just realized a new site specific installation at the Platform 102 gallery located in the center of Brussels. The space is on the top floor which has a couple of skylight windows. I installed untwisted raw wool yarn that serves to indicate the space which can potentially be created by the windows. As the viewer moves, the yarn comes to form various boundaries – and “window_space ” are woven out. Sometimes, the yarn melts into the landscape and the space disappears. The light, the air, the sound and the landscape that come through from the window are constantly changing and the “window_space ” is accordingly generated through viewer’s imagination.

私が初めてデザインしたベッドが出来上がりました！背もたれをソファのようにデザインし、座って本を読んだり、くつろげる提案です。調光できる間接照明の付属させました！

クイーンズ美術館の重要な展示物である「パノラマ」を囲う壁にインスタレーションを施すことで、「境界」の透明性、不透明性について問い直す空間作品を作りました。
「パノラマ」は、ニューヨークの町全体を1/1200の縮尺で再現した巨大な模型。その周囲は高い壁で囲われていて、来場者は、模型の周りを歩き回りながら鑑賞します。境界の壁を内側から見る時、それはミニチュアのニューヨークの背景、空のメタファとして透明な存在として認識され、一方、同じ壁を外側から見ると、展示物を飾るための単なる壁に見えます。同じ壁が、フィジカルとメタフィジカル、裏表で違って見えるのが面白いなと思い、そこで、その壁にカナダ雁を貫通させることで、「境界」の見え方に疑問を投げかけることにしました。
カナダ雁は、渡り鳥です。私たち日常の境界を超えて空の彼方に飛んでいきます。この世の中にあるほとんどの「境界」は、人間が作ったものです。このインスタレーションを通じて、目の前に立ちはだかる限界も、ちょっと視点を変えることで突破できるかもしれないということを、感じてほしいなと思いました。
「境界」の壁を内側から見る時、それはミニチュアのニューヨークの背景、空のメタファとして透明な存在として認識される。
空を突き抜けて「境界」を超えるカナダ雁のインスタレーション。
備考: クイーンズ美術館（Queens Museum of Art）は、1964年の世界万博の際に設計されたニューヨーク、クイーンズ（Queens）地区にあるフラッシング・メドーズ – コロナ・パーク（Flushing Meadows–Corona Park）の中に位置します。美術館の中心の展示物であるパノラマ・オブ・ザ・シティ・オブ・ニューヨーク（Panorama of the City of New York）は、Robert Moses (1888-1981) によって設計され、ニューヨークの5行政区を9,000平方フィート（836.13平方メートル）の大きさに再現した建築モデルとして、シティ内のすべての建物や通りを正確に描写しています。
同じ壁を外側から見ると、普通の美術館の展示用の壁に見える。

“Flight” by Yumi Kori
My installation is situated on the perimeter wall of the Panorama of the city of New York in Queens Museum. Generally, the audience in the Panorama room perceives the surrounding wall as the backdrop of the miniature model of New York City. A metaphor of the sky, the wall is boundless. This same wall serves as a conventional white museum wall from other side. My Canadian goose penetrates the wall from each side, highlighting these two conditions.
Some boundaries are constructed artificially for conventional reasons. Because of this, such limits can be shifted or flipped by perceiver’s imagination easily. The Canadian goose is a migratory bird that travels from our world to unknown worlds. Through my installation, I hope the audience will realize they can overcome the limitations of conventional perception.

郡裕美が「未来を担う美術家たち 建築Xアート Domani 明日展」文化庁から海外に派遣された新進芸術家、約５０名の美術家、建築家の作品展に参加しています。
Yumi Kori exhibits a new art work at The National Art Center, Tokyo. The Title is ” Can you see?”.
This is an installation to understand the meaning of ” seeing” far. WIthin a small box, I made space which expand to infinity. One is made by the light, and the other is made by shadows. Collection of the door ways and the contrast of the light does not allow us to look further. The light and darkness is not the opposite, they may belong to same realm. The Infinity appears at the moment of ” limitation of our perception”.
郡は、「見える？」という題名の作品を展示をしています。
自分が置かれている場から遠くを「見ようとすること」をテーマに、今回の会場にあわせて作った新作です。
小さな空間の中に光と影、反射と半透明性を使って、無限の広がりを創り出しました。
光の無限、影の無限 ２つが一つの作品に埋め込まれています。

郡 裕美 講演会「Site Transformation」は、おかげさまで大盛況でした。
（コロンビア大学 Columbia University GSAP, studio X Tokyo, Lecture 第４弾 ）
題目は、日本語に訳すと「場の変容」という意味。
郡が世界各地で行ってきた舞台美術、アート、建築作品を通して、「場や空間の見え方を変えること」について語りました。
同時開催のアート・インスタレーションGreen Airplaneは、郡裕美ブログに詳しく掲載予定。
みどりの紙飛行機をガラスに向かって飛ばす体験を通じて、参加者が、「ガラス」に対して、「境界」に対して、「自分と世界との関係」について、新しい視点をもってくれることを企んだ企画。
