Better recommendation: go to the Olympiastadion in the middle of the night and goose-step around.

More seriously, I agree. Sachsenhausen and Potsdam are also nearby and worth a visit.

The east German secret police museum is kind of worth a look as well as checkpoint Charlie.

Don't bother with the Currywurst museum though - it's not that great

I found the iron room memorial/gas chamber style thing in the Jewish museum traumatising (the one after the road of metal faces. On my own in there it was a great place to think and reflect but then loads of people wandered in....

When it was full, noise loud conversations a couple of toddlers screaming/crying because overstimulation/bored and the door slammed shut full on panic attack

I got a palpable sense of horror walking through the terror museum, birds overhead seemed to avoid it. I was fascinated by the white rose story. I have the book somewhere and have used it to beat deniers of the Holocaust with.

Seeing the finance ministry as well is worth a visit (what was Goring Air Ministry) it's strange how a building can scream EVIL was planned here.

On a similar note if you get to nurenburg GOT TO THE MUSEUM at the rally ground. They rebuilt/finished the collisseum style auditorium and you can walk out onto the walkway Hitler was planning to use. As you walk out the noise the chants from the Richensthal film play and... I really got a sense of just HOW he managed to do what he did, the sense of power, the ability to DO anything that one word spoken could cause anything he wished to happen. I felt nauseated afterwards.
