I honestly think possession football is beautiful if you're scoring goals. If you're scoring goals then you're doing the right things in the final third and it shows that what you're doing has a point, an end goal, it justifies everything you've been doing. I didn't think think the Spanish team was boring to watch. If we were banging in 3 goals a game I wouldn't think we are boring to watch. The fact that we can't score makes all the possession pointless and pointless possession is boring.

It doesn't matter how you play, if you don't create chances then it's going to be boring. The fact of the matter is that "shots" are basically the measure of excitement. The more chances you make, the more shots you take, the more goals you rake in. If you don't create good chances, then you shoot less, you score less. Doesn't matter what else you're doing on the pitch, you're almost certainly boring to watch.
