No disrespect - and I am sure that your question was asked in all honesty - but this question is asked far too often these days. If not this direct question, but at least some variation - who should we buy, which position needs strengthening, who will they replace, who are the deadwood, who are Mourinho's signings, which of Jorge Mendes' players can we buy...

I'd much rather have nothing on this sub than the same regurgitated posts/discussions/arguments

Again, I don't mean anything against you and if you felt that way, then I apologize but I just had to say it.

You put it across really well without being disrespectful. Thanks a lot and you're right it had to be said

Fair enough. I did a search for the word Sold to see if it's been discussed recently, and didn't see it. The only thing that really came up was about Schneiderlin marrying his girlfriend.

Plenty of talk about incoming transfers but nothing much about which players are likely to leave. If you can point me to the thread where this was discussed, please do.

Here are some of the threads that have been posted only in April 2016

There are many others like Good RW signing, LB Discussion, One of the many 'Mourinho Transfer Targets' thread where there are discussions on who will be replaced

Quite a few have been deleted so I understand that when you searched for them, you couldn't find them.

Rooney is gone. He will take as much money as he can get in the twilight of his career. He will be a legend.

Rooney is gone

Is there any rationale behind this?

He wants money at the twilight of his career?

Not that i agree, but that seems to be the rationale from /u/manuntdfan

Even if he's not technically gone I feel he's our Raul at this point. In 2006 Raul was still in his prime and knocking them in for Real. However Aragones realised in order for Spain to progress Raul had to go. This removed the talisman and forced players like Puyol, Xavi and Casillas to become leaders for their country. It also gave chances to you get guys like Villa and Torres who worked better in the team and it allowed them to play to their strengths as a whole and not play to feed Raul.

We all know how successful that team went onto become and I feel a similar bold decision will be good for us in the long term.
