You could say that again, I might disagree with Republicans on plenty of things but I will gladly be a single issue voter for guns.

this entire mess makes no sense to me. Why the hell is the gop scared of trump. he looks a lot like a raygun 2.0 but more gun friendly

Because he's not a GOP establishment candidate. He's an outsider running in their party, and they'll do what they can to prevent him from winning.

He can't be controlled by the establishment. And the establishment hates that. If they can't appoint a puppet in the GOP, the GOP elites would gladly throw the election to Hillary who is on the establishment team.

Just follow the money and it will all make sense. One candidate is paying for their campaign out of pocket, and owes nobody any favors once they are in office. Another candidate is using money donated by a large group of people, but they won't win. The other candidates are funded by a variety of organizations, benefactors, etc, who they now owe favors to.
