Paul Hetherington of the Daily Star reported Everton is preparing to make a push to land Mourinho should they decide to part with current manager Roberto Martinez. 


Giggs Reportedly Set for United Promotion Amid Jose Rumours

"Despite months of speculation linking Mourinho with a move to United, it appears the Red Devils are ready to turn to Ryan Giggs as their new manager," per Adriano Boin of Marca.

Boin notes the Glazer family are looking to appoint "a figure that won't overshadow the club" and will look to promote Giggs from his current role as assistant manager.

On March 19, El Pais (via the Observer) reported Mourinho is "due up to £15 million in compensation if he is not appointed by [United] by 1 June."
