Boin notes the Glazer family are looking to appoint "a figure that won't overshadow the club" and will look to promote Giggs from his current role as assistant manager.
On March 19, El Pais (via the Observer) reported Mourinho is "due up to £15 million in compensation if he is not appointed by [United] by 1 June."
