From a comment in /r/Bitscoin,
I took a look at OB when it was first launched. There was a typo on the first screen that popped up. I cloned the repository, fixed it and made a pull request.
The developer replied saying it wasn't a typo and closed it without merging. When I argued that it really was he locked the pull request. The following day he fixed the typo taking credit for it himself.
That's not how you do open source. It's a shame there are people like him in control of the repository because otherwise it looks like a promising project. I won't be wasting any more of my time on it though.
Before locking the bug report, the developer shows his grammatical chops by using 'it's' instead of 'its', then closing the bug report:
The text changed was fine in it's original form.
The bug reporter then shows why the bug he reported is valid, criticizes the use of 'it's', and makes the obvious observation that the developer's grammar skills suck horribly, after which the developer locks the bug report, preventing any additional comments.
Then comes the most wonderful fix from the same developer. The description of the fix?
fix typo without snark
- fixes minor typo without additional commentary
Aside from the snark-deserving failure of OpenBizarre in general, one wonders how the fix would have been made without the additional commentary proving its necessity, given that the fix was rejected before the additional commentary was given.
