Who do you think is the better keeper. Keeping in mind of course De Gea has a ways to go to match Peters record...

DDG is as good a stopper as Schmeichel. He's as good a stopper as any keeper ever. But Schmeichel is well ahead in terms of command of his area, organising his defence, one on one's and distribution

No way is VDS ahead of Schmeichel. Schmeichel was a better shot stopper, better at organising his defence, better distribution basically better in every way.

Schmeichel also had a habit of these incredible big game displays which VDS didn't have.

Look at any all time list or talk to anyone old enough to see them both as an adult and they'd almost all have vds behind schmeichel.

Vds was a world class keeper but he's not an all time best keeper contender. It's like comparing Ferdinand to Beckenbauer or Baresi

Schmeichel is definitively better than VDS. He's better at everything basically

This forum is full of kids who didn't actually see Schmikes play but speak to basically anyone old enough to have seen both properly and it's a no contest. Vds is overrated on here, world class keeper but behind Buffon, Schmeichel and Kahn in his own era as well as multiple others before him

He was the calmest keeper I've ever seen.
