I feel this point is relevant. From my remarks in another comment...

"Slavery persisted in the north well after the civil war. The only reason slavery became relevant is as a means to destabilize the southern economy. Being primarily agricultural, the south more heavily relied on slavery than the, compatibility skilled production driven northern economy. The civil war wasn't about slavery and there was no good guys. It was about the federal government reinforcing it's dominance. If the south had won your blind patriotism very well may be directed towards the southern regime."

Blindly and ignorantly vilifying your government's enemies just reeks of a fascist regime manipulating it's population with disinformation.

Well, generally, here is some reading for you to do first.

Bit of reading here

And here, where Mississippi laid out their cause: slavery is inherently necessary for civilization

You are perfectly welcome to go on bad history and explain to them that the Civil War wasn't about slavery, it was about subjugating the South and states rights.

You're blindly ignoring my remarks. I said it wasn't primarily about slavery. I'm done discussing this. Your blind patriotism is stifling you.

The Civil War wasn't about slavery until war aims changed for emancipation as well knowing it was a necessary goal for the nation. However, the whole point the South seceded was over the fear of losing slavery to a Republican presidency as the Republican Party was established as an anti-slavery party.

Not quite correct, Lincoln won without carrying a single southern state. This led to a feeling of representational imbalance in southern states. That was ultimately why they acted to rebel. However, you are correct in their distaste for the Republican party. As stated before, slavery was a huge role in southern economic growth. But the reasons aren't as simple as "cause slavery."
