  • Nicknames: Obummer, Mooch, Democrap, etc.
  • "Yeah, fuck those guys!" type comments.
  • Memes. Sorry.
  • Multiple posts of the same news content from different sources.
  • Any kind of misguided Obama-Hitler comparison.

I agree 100%, especially on memes and image posts. I'd also like to add:

  • "Race Realsim", Ethno-nationalism, White victim-hood/persecution issues.
  • Men's Rights issues (there's already a subreddit for that).
  • Twitter agglomeration articles.

"Race Realsim", Ethno-nationalism, White victim-hood/persecution issues.

Seems to be a pretty good majority of what Mayonesa posts.

I'd advocate going back to only allowing memes/image macros one day a week.

People are still going to want to post them and some of them are good for a chuckle. However, they are low-effort posts and as such can tend to clog up the frontpage.

Hell, I'd even like to see political cartoons included in this.

Race Realsim", Ethno-nationalism, White victim-hood/persecution issues.

This is an interesting point.

It is a fact that most journalists (100-1) donate to Democrats and, as a result, there is a bias in stories which make it online or on television.

Much of the activity here will be to highlight stories that are under reported nationally so they can be discussed.

Some of these stories will be regarding racial issues which - unless it seems to benefit Liberals in some way - do not appear to get the attention they deserve.

My personal opinion is that stories about racial issues are fine as long as they highlight a double standard.

For example, this post:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Conservative/comments/1xkwh9/if_it_said_black_man_instead_of_white_man_would/

This would be an interesting topic to discuss.

But if it is simply a post saying some group did X to Y that is not worthy of discussion.

And, as I said in another post, we do get some people here who would seek to tar Conservatives and this is a convenient way that they do that.

Submissions like this have absolutely nothing to do with conservatism. And unfortunately, I have yet to see an intelligent, respectful conversation regarding race relations to take place here, or anywhere on reddit for that matter.

If the goal is to "take the next step and move up to being a "professional" news source", then we need to get the tacit racism and sexism off of our front page.

Law and order have everything to do with conservatism.

Sometimes the racial angle gets overplayed, it's true, but more often it gets underplayed.

The states with solid conservative rule have their politics drawn heavily along racial lines. All pollyanna multiculturalism does is win elections for Democrats.

I get what you're saying, race relations is an important issue that is either ignored or distorted in the mainstream media. Honest discussions around the issue are almost nonexistent. It would be nice to have a place to do that, however it has been proven time and again that reddit is not an conducive medium for the type of discussion we'd like to have.

A submission with a sensationalistic title such as "Black History Month is beginning with a bang in Indianapolis: For the second time in a week, large scale black mob violence is breaking out downtown" is not going to lead to a constructive law and order discussion.

I think discussing the race issues surrounding the Zimmerman trial was appropriate for this subreddit, but a third of the submissions were about that trial and the quality of the discussion was beyond awful. Some of the filth posted here that I had to remove that month was truly disgusting. We would have been much better off restricting all discussion to a single post and removing everything else.

If the reddit children cannot play nice with the race ball, then we should take it away.

One must be careful in being too condescending. There are plenty of good decent people who aren't politically correct when it comes to social issues. They get turned off by being talked down to and stay home and don't vote.

You don't see how black riots are a conservative issue?

The problem with that link is that it's an advertisement for some guy's book, not an actual article.

[–]chabanais#Never RNC 1ポイント2ポイント  (3子コメント)

I think a better approach would have been to have made a self post about this topic and why it is not being reported.

For example.

And having an honest discussion is impossible due to outside influences.

If I may respond to your comment on that post, I don't think the OP was asserting that the title ISN'T racist. Rather, he was asserting that the MSM would only consider it racist if it had said black man instead of white man. He was pointing out the double-standards, not actually arguing that the title was not racist.

Your comment missed the point.

IN other words, what the title really meant was:

"If it said black man instead of white man, wouldn't the media be calling it racist?"
