Reddit hates everything now. It's been completely taken over by people joining subs just to bash the topic and insult others.

I used to browse through tons of subs but now it's maybe 1-2 per week if that. The humor is gone, the sharing of ideas is gone, and the vast majority of the site is people saying mean and shitty things.

/r/Futurology is good if you want to discuss ideas. But I agree the humour has gone. Don't get me wrong nothing like a good circle jerk of hate or a witch hunt to get the banter flowing but......can we take a break now?

I love Joe's Podcast. But that does not mean he has not done anything to criticize. Onnit, the pseudoscientists he brings on, and some of his diet talk, all deserve to be criticized. But his shows with Uncle Joey, Ari, or even Redban make up for the quackery.

i didn't make it to hate on Joe. i made it as a joke. i make dumb photoshop images all the time. i know there is a sentiment around the joe rogan community that alpha brain is snakeoil so i ran with it. if anyone looks at the image i made and it in any way sways their opinion on the product or affects their inclination to purchase it, that is more of an insight into the hive mentality of the community rather than a commentary on the image

I think I agree. I love the Podcast and a ton of Joe's ideas. I also disagree with a few sentiments he has. One sentiment I disagree with is that AlphaBrain works. I bought a large bottle, used it for 3 weeks and saw absolutely no results. So your little image made me chuckle. Thanks for that. I don't think it's hating on Joe. I don't think randygoiter would have spent the time on photoshop and posting this if he wasn't a fan. Even the ones we hold in high regard should be criticized and questioned, If Joe has taught me anything it is that.

Hmmm, sure but I could also sell you a dud pill, tell you to exercise more and read more books and you tell me if you don't feel more stimulated. Plain and simple, it probably works better for some people and has little to no effect on others. Similar to specific diets. Some people see great results with a Palio diet while other people's body can have an averse effect to it.

Here's my anecdotal experience with my 30 days of Alpha Brain (new formula apparently):

Noticed nothing while taking it.

The week after I stopped, I was in the worst inexplicable mood, with a snap temper, annoyed by EVERYTHING. Really unlike me. I couldn't shake off shit that I normally do.

While it might be a moneygrab (what business isn't?) and they've been barely tested (what vitimins have been?) they deffinately do something. The new mood did give me better sleep and I woke up without that groggy feeling. You can't deny that chemicals vitimins minerals proteins etc have some effect. It ain't like your body ignores biological compounds because you've got them from Onnit.

I've found the alpha brain to work well with problem solving and being able to articulate ideas better. Is it worth the money? Probably not for people like me without much disposable income.

I'm not too sure how healthy it is either. Dr Rhonda Patrick even said in the last podcast that you shouldn't be putting so many of these exogenous chemicals into your body as it might detract from your own natural way of making them.
