What the fuck is everyone's mom dead? Also, Itsuki don't be an asshole. It's like telling those people in Asia not to take pictures when they see a foreigner for the first time. They weren't doing anything bad or with evil intentions.

Edit: You people are fucked up. I agree with the other guy's reasoning that Itsuki's mom flashback is at fault for his unreasonable triggering, but all you others acting like it's actually a rude, uncalled for (ha!), or outrageous situation that actually warrants his white knight response? Those other replies comparing it to racism or discrimination? Use some logic ffs, use some social and contextual awareness. Don't validate that stupid reddit autist stereotype. If someone wants to try and refute me again, at least read the rest of the arguments here, I think I made my point quite clear in the one with abedeus.

She might not be dead probably just left or some shit seems like he did not respect her referring to her by her name and shit. Also it was obvioulsy a touchy subject for him and they basicly triggered him.

I also thought she might not be dead, but the wording of "Was that your mom's name?" makes it sound more like she died than they divorced or whatever. But yeah calling her by her name is probably his lack of acknowledgement of her for what she did in the flashback.

Don't know where you live but I would still consider it rude to take a photo of someone without their approval

It's not a matter of where you live, it's the context of the situation. She has the ability to stretch her neck at will which is so rare those people hadn't seen such a person before. Maybe had she done nothing it'd be stalking-like and warranted his reaction but if she stretches her neck in the stands in front of dozens of people who have never seen it and who have cameras for the show there's no good reason to complain. They didn't even harass or ask her to repeat it they took a picture and called it a day. It's like if someone gifted does something really cool on the street and people take a picture of it because of the novelty, there's really no evil intention behind it and no justifiable reason to be mad.

It's like taking a picture of someone with a mental or physical disability. You are treating them as an attraction, a freak to look at an mock or "pity". It's treating them as less than a human.

"Oh wow, a guy with half of his leg missing! I'mma take a picture!"

lol what. you bring up the example of asians seeing foreigners as a comparison to this and then get upset when others start expanding on that? And i think its hilarious how you keep calling others SJWs and shit when not too long ago you were throwing a huge fit about sexism and shit in a 4koma romcom series over a fucking head pat hahaha. You have some weird issues with manga and need help or to just shut the fuck up already.

Bitch come at me, I don't care I'll make my point! It's a slow day at work and I got literally no better thing to do!

Hahaha no, seriously, since I didn't expect that guy to take race so seriously for someone who's essentially an ethnic japanese with the ability to stretch her neck, I used the foreigner in China example because he was saying that they were treating her like a freak, less than a human, like a spectacle, and like an exotic animal in a zoo, and I wanted to get the point across that just because you see something you have never seen before that's not a disadvantage (unlike their bullshit comparison to the handicapped) in someone, you can be amazed, surprised, even try to take pictures of such a rare ocassion for you, and that doesn't mean at all that you are disrespecting them or even mean to disrespect. I used that example because it's the closest real world example I could think of (before the bodybuilder one), but that doesn't mean I equated they're exactly the same, when the girl is essentially undistinguishable in every aspect from the average person except for her one ability, which to others is a rare and amazing sight.

I am very surprised though by your calling me out on the head pat thing. I honestly can't remember it exactly but "head pat" certainly rings a bell on somehing I found kinda sexist and made a comment about it, and then mayyyyybe (not sure, I don't remember, I'll take yor word for whatever you say happened) I got into an argument over it with those who answered? I assure you, my sentiment on this things isn't huge, just like my first comment here, unedited, might show. It's just when people give me an argument I think is bullshit I do not back down. 'sides, the fact that I can find something kinda sexist doesn't mean I'm not gonna point out someone sounds like a true SJW for comparing this petty situation to real world race issues, the freakin handicapped thinking of people like freaks or exotic animals. I mean ffs. And good insult at the end, but adding stfu to it is kinda lame, like what are you gonna do, go suck a dick?
