MetaPosting, and What Not to Do (self.TheRedPill)

Today I removed almost every post from the front page. I'm going to camp out on the /new/ tab for a while and continue pruning until I'm happy.

Do not post low quality or low effort posts. If your lesson doesn't exist or doesn't bring something new or interesting to the table, it doesn't belong here.

I wanted to post a few examples of what I removed:

http://archive.is/sOctk - Words are losing meaning, like Honor, Obedience, Respect, and Dignity. Ok, it's a good start. Where's the cause of it? Who is perpetuating the problem? What are the overarching social implications of these changes? How are they used to gain an upper hand on men? All of these details would have made a quality post.

http://archive.is/AZfh9 - Going against the feminine-primary grain will get you shamed in public. Why? What's the play? What's the advantage? Who does this benefit? Why is it used? What are the social implications? How are we to navigate this? What does our future hold? This post touches on a topic but never gets so far as ankle deep.

http://archive.is/IaHxk - If your post is so devoid of any details and nobody would want to hear it in real life, nobody wants to read it on TRP.

http://archive.is/2eVnO, http://archive.is/ljyEE, platitudes like "love yourself" and lists of generic advice are useless and very low effort.

With these, I've removed 4 "Thanks TRP" posts that should be on /r/thanktrp and provided absolutely no insight. (Many of them were simply "I feel better, maybe one day I'll get laid!")

I've removed at least 3 that were simply "I saw an example of what we talk about here on facebook/okcupid/etc, and here's literally just that and no anaylsis whatsoever!"

And then I removed about 10 more that deserve no discussion, they were just complete nonsense or fluff and added nothing.

I will continue deleting. Do not post unless you have something worth saying.

Do not ask the mod team why something was removed. If your item was removed, start reading the sidebar, and don't post again until you're done.

I think the cause of this problem is the western education system rewards paraphrasing the textbook and professor.

Spot on. Our education system has not been fit for purpose for a long time. The exam systems also don't test whether people understand the material or not.

Depends on location. Sweden has average exams last for 4 hours. We went to central europe on exchange we were quite shocked when some exams didnt last more than 40 mins, you basically tested if people could memorize a bunch of shit, not reason with it. But then again, if you have too much space to reason, it turns into a shitshow, as what can be said can allways be said in concise statements.

I think of 10 new questions that need answering every day. If you're out in the field observing people, there should always be something new to learn and share.

My post was actually an example about gender diseases and how research , funding, and awareness is heavily biased towards women's illnesses while in comparison mens illnesses receive little attention. The mangina screeching with outrage was a secondary point.

I remember seeing the people saying shit like "thank trp, got over ex" or "thanks trp relationship fixed" titles, of course never read but seemed like some new trend. I've never posted and damn sure wouldn't unless i have a real field report that was awesome shit you can learn from, first month or two learning, this was like my bible as I tested my frame and destroyed shit test reading daily. And I wouldn't waste anyone's time that helped me with petty shit

Please keep deleting. More and more trash keeps getting posted here and it's one of the main reasons I'm coming to the subreddit less and less. I am so sick and tired of seeing posts that don't conform to the posting rules. No TLDR and No Lessons Learned is an automatic downvote from me. It's not that hard and it says it RIGHT THERE when you're posting.

Maybe we need to go deeper into what we already know?

Do this like a scientific article, give a brief overview of what we have already established (introduction) and add a layer of new knowledge? (experiment -> results) and then discuss it?

Kinda like how we have a established post on shit-tests on the sidebar, but we keep adding on layers to our knowledge of them?

I don't know, just thinking out loud.

this is the main reason I unsubbed from askTRP. so much noise. every other post was "how do I make this girl like me?" 99% of what was being posted has been explained time and time again.
