Compare Ranieri's method of resting Vardy during training vs LvG's insistence in only playing players that complete his training. (self.reddevils)

SAF would rest RVP, Ferdinand, Vidic during hard training sessions. Whereas, LvG has this brute force method. Quite different LvG is too old school. The injury disaster this year makes a little more sense with this understanding.

As much as I'm in the lvg out camp, he has given players day off from training before, so yeah..

LVG literally doesn't have Blind train with the team for this exact reason, you don't know what you're talking about.

I can't find the article, I'll keep looking but basically LVG said he has Daley on a minimal contact training routine, he rarely plays in scrims at the training ground and just keeps his fitness up by doing the bare minimum so he can perform at his highest level in games.

That's just not true. He has given players days off quite a few times. Please don't say stuff for the sake of it. He's a good man, rigid with his methods that he thinks will work but doesn't seem like it is ever going to and I hope all of us are put of this misery..

As much as I want LVG gone this is rubbish. Lots of players have been given days off and once back in December we even didn't have a training session between games.
