The winter weather didn't stop commuters getting their kit off yesterday for the annual No Pants Day subway ride.
The day of silliness was started as a prank by improvisational group Improv Everywhere back in 2001 and now 15 years on it has spread across the world.
As temperatures in New York were around 10C on the day, men and women travelled in slightly warmer temperatures than normal.

The global trend has encouraged commuters in capitals that include Prague, Berlin and New York to travel around their city for one day with bare legs.
The only requirements for participation according to the Improv Everywhere website are to be:
- Willing to take your trousers (pants) off on the subway
- Able to keep a straight face about it
Instructions on the website say: “Sit in the car as you normally would.
"Read a magazine or whatever you would normally do. Your team leader will have already divided you into smaller groups, assigning your group a specific stop where you will depants.”
If asked why they removed their bottom half attire, people were instructed to say that they’re trousers were "getting uncomfortable."
People did not just choose to drop their slacks though - they also dressed up as different characters.
One man dressed as Darth Vader - but without his trousers - and another chose George Washington - but again, with his trousers.
The 15th Annual No Pants Subway Ride began at 3pm local time and ended at Union Square Subway station.
Meanwhile, London Underground passengers had an eyeful yesterday when fellow commuters got on board wearing no trousers.
No Trousers On The Tube Day - as it is called on this side of the pond - saw Londoners flash their underwear on the Tube.
It was a rather chilly 5C across London on the day as the country sees temperatures begin to plummet.
Just like their transatlantic cousins, Londoners made sure to dress their top halves in some eccentric attire, including a man who came out with a Union Jack across his chest.
People in the capital aren't adverse to showing a bit of flesh as many proudly demonstrated in the World Naked Bike Ride back in April 2015.
