As of yesterday afternoon, Rapp's family was being doxxed. This included at least her husband, sister, extended family and also some of her friends.

This doxxing was being done in at least two places. Unsurprising, considering the people who campaigned against her include /ggrevolt/, KiA, KiwiFarms, and Daily Stormer (edit: and also /pol/). Her sister was contacted by someone from these groups, as was a friend's employer.

This afternoon, she's stated that addresses for family members have been published, and that extended family has been contacted by the aforementioned groups. She and her husband are also considering contacting police due to safety concerns.

All of this goes alongside new propaganda and an accusation they've leveled against her, which we won't be addressing unless she decides they should be addressed. They're irrelevant to the hell being wrought upon her--used only as an attempt to retroactively (and failingly) justify harassment just like every other piece of dirt they dig up on people.

As for the doxxing, I can confirm this has been happening, either first-hand or through other contacts. Immediately after they started their newest propaganda, they began digging into her husband's past, and then followed that up with digging into her family and friends.

And I want to make it clear that this wasn't primarily a GamerGate thing:

• Yes, GamerGate has been involved, and has no shame in spreading allegations, propaganda, and terrorizing her.

• Where the doxxing began is not a GamerGate hub, however there are several gaters present and the hub frequently attacks the same people GamerGate does.

• Where the propaganda began is not a GamerGate hub, however there are several gaters present and the hub frequently attacks the same people GamerGate does.

• In the instance of the propaganda, someone from that hub went directly to KiA to direct them to the info dump. KiA allowed the threads to stay up long enough for things to spread, but then removed all but one thread for the fear of having the subreddit banned. By that point, the damage was already done.

• Many of the regular GamerGate heads jumped on board almost instantaneously after the non-GG hub put the info out there.

I'm making this clarification because it's further evidence that even if GamerGate's "third party trolls" deflection were ever true, they will still benefit and spread anything the third parties provide them.

We've all known this since the start. Our sidebar even used to have a comic in it explaining just that.

At the same time, it's also evidence that GamerGate-style horribleness isn't unique to GamerGate. Even if gaters didn't latch onto all of this, the tactics and vitriol would be indistinguishable except for the absence of the hashtag in each tweet.

What we need to do right now is show support for Alison Rapp, her husband Jake, and their friends and family in this terrible, disgusting era of the internet. She was a woman targeted for the wrong reasons, and everything since has been nothing but a revenge play with nothing to get revenge for.
