/u/Arathian, the "mature mod" of /r/europemeta, is a Greek immigrant IT worker in Canada who is autistic. He is originally from ξυλοκαστρο outside Korinthos I believe. If it is not there it is definitely some other near suburb of Korinthos proper. Like most Greek males, especially younger ones, he probably has no idea how to cook(probably he cannot even make coffee) and being an IT nerd neckbeard likely cannot get a woman. So he is also likely overweight from the sedentarism and constant eating out at restaurants supplemented with pre-made frozen food.

That is Reddit for you, pretty much all the mods and all those whot "fit in" on here are neckbeard outcasts that the rest of society wants nothing to do with. So the people who rise up are no life nerds who spend all their time on IRC/Skype, etc. surrogate socializing(making friends online and instead of real life) so they can control lots of subreddits and finally fit in and have social power somewhere. I got banned also from /r/europe for making fun of his autistic nerd ass via PM, and like the bitchy mommy's boy he is(trust me, just about young Greek male is a mommy's boy), he reported me. That is my preferred tactic to deal with the heckling nerds, because in subreddits they act very brave knowing that the majority of Reddit's userbase is their nerd kind. Recently I also got banned /r/belgium for heckling a Belgian nerd who I didn't know was a mod also via PM. I tried to confront and mock crazy Belgians over this video showing their cultural export, Jan Fabre(invited by traitor Syriza) turning a Greek arts festival into a penis puppetry gay supremacy & Belgian cultural colonialism(the gay Belgian artist invited :

The Belgian neckbeard who banned me /u/JebusGobson mods 23 subs. People who collect that many subs usually have no life and spend copious amounts of time on IRC to network with other neckbeard mods.

In short, you found part of the reason why Reddit is a shithole, no one with a life can be successful on Reddit in terms of breaking the 100,000 karma club or collecting 20+ subs to moderate, because real life will prevent them from reaching that level. I cannot think of anyone with very high karma on Reddit, that I ever learned something from their posts, or feel anything for but pity. Reddit is nothing but a reflection of neckbeard values because in the game of Reddit, people with social lives cannot win. Conversely ultimately the people on Reddit who win the karma game and collecting subs to moderate, are the ultimate losers, who if they don't suddenly die, will realize they wasted their lives on internet popularity and surrogate virtual power.
