Why are people saying Martial should be up top and Van Gaal is playing him out of position on the left and then want Zlatan next season but also want memphis to be on the left. So where the fuck is Martial going to play? Make your mind up lads.

I'm not defending Van Gaal i'm saying most people on this sub reddit are contradicting every post they make.

God damn it I hate how common these kind of posts are. Has it occurred to you that maybe Reddit is not a single entity? LM's is the same as LW's, no? If we are talking about a SAF 4-4-2 then the wingers are hardly restricted. An Atletico 4-4-2 and yeah, that is different as I think they play narrower.

But it's not SAF wingers, they played counter attacking football, do you understand what that is? That means they track back and burst forward and is a very SPECIFIC type of wide midfielder.

And LVG won't be here next season. Jose plays counter-attacking football, Memphis could do Hazard's job. Zlatan won't join under LVG.

I think most see Martial's long term position as a central striker but as a 20 year old he can grow into the role by cutting inside as a left forward and having a bit more time on the ball. Many forwards i.e. Van Persie, Henry, Sturridge (for Chelsea) had a lot of growth doing this.

Thus making Zlatan a perfect stop-gap option for him to learn from and develop.

Martial on the left and Zlatan in the middle would be fine, Martial in only 20 and can still develop his game on the left like Henry did in his early years at Monaco and Juventus.
