To be fair he has way more good performances than he does bad. It's a bit unfair to expect someone his age to carry the team all the time.

I'm growing impatient

Yes you are.

It's completely bollocks to expect a 20-year old to carry one of the biggest clubs in the world.

If he's not carrying us, we're relying on players studying for their GCSEs to lead us to victory.

LvG has got to go. This is atrocious. Look at the state of the club. Can you imagine Madrid, Bayern, or Barcelona relying on 18-20 year old kids to lead them to victory? Hell no.

Thread about Martial's performance and you still feel the need to talk about LVG. Give it a rest, barely anyone still wants him here.

He was mentioned by OP, so I was just addressing that.

Downvoting me yet again, cheers. OP said LvG's players were shite yesterday. What does that have anything to do with "LVG out"? The players were to blame too.

He's a youngster that should be bedded in not be playing every game.

Everyone knows since November that if you stop him then we're fucked so he's doubled everytime. But of the offensive players yesterday, he was still the best. Tells everything we you wished he scored from a run that started in the middle of the pitch.

Other than the one shot on goal, he was invisible

Growing impatient with the player who's been our best this season despite it being his first for us, okay buddy.

You are growing impatient of a 20 year old in his debut season at the club after a huge transfer from his home country in which he has scored the second most goals as a teenager for the club and provided the majority of exciting moments via his own ability on the ball?

Ok then.

[–]BarbadosDM 0ポイント1ポイント  (2子コメント)

He was poor but he nearly scored an extremely good goal. Most of this season he has been the reason we have won games. Such as Everton last week.

I am more concerned that the rest of the team plays like 18 year olds and the 18 year olds play like experienced players. Mensah was our best player by a distance, purely because he saved us till he went off. Carrick, Schneiderlin, Blind, Rojo were all a complete disgrace

[–]Rolling_TomassiShaw 2ポイント3ポイント  (1子コメント)

Schneiderlin was a disgrace? He was the one thing holding our midfield together. He was constantly making great space, looked good on the ball and was getting possession back very quickly through good pressing.

Schneiderlin did everything expected of a DM, he should not be singled out here.

I don't think so - he constantly got himself in trouble and lost the ball more often than not. He's way, way better than what he's shown out on the pitch this season. It might be because of our formation or being always paired with someone slow, but he hasn't been at his best, and definitely wasn't any kind of good at Spurs.

Maybe the breakup with his wife has affected him?

[–]FeezbullGiggs 0ポイント1ポイント  (2子コメント)

What breakup?

[–]danskzwag 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

Look at his wife ig she deleted all pictures with him and tony m has done the same

I don't know why but if Rojo hadn't played, Martial and memphis had played at ST and LW , TFM hadnt got injured , and Young hadn't come on, I see that 2nd half going differently.

Hindsight yes, but LVG is to blame for dropping darmian instead of rojo and young/martial playing out of position.

[–]Rolling_TomassiShaw -1ポイント0ポイント  (2子コメント)

Dropping Darmian instead of Rojo was a big mistake? How did you decide that? Rojo wasn't great but Darmian was atrocious when he came on. I also think Darmian is by far the better full back but he's been pretty bad recently.

[–]itsandercontrolBerbatov -1ポイント0ポイント  (1子コメント)

There was a great comment earlier saying Darmian got put in the game when Tottenham were dominating and were on the verge of scoring and the pace was very high. I rate an off form Darmian a bit better than an on form Rojo.

[–]Rolling_TomassiShaw 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

I understand that but Darmian has also generally been very bad recently. I'm not sure I agree that an out of form Darmian is better than your average Rojo. Rojo can at least get his crosses to reach the box.

So one of the two outfield players that actually looked like they were putting a shift in and trying to make something happen and you single him out? He's 20 - he's going to be inconsistent but let's be fucking thankful we signed him otherwise we'd of been shite this season.

[–]FaceOfAnAngel -1ポイント0ポイント  (0子コメント)

It definitely wasn't his best game but he was being doubled up on most of the time and he was our only creative outlet. I think Mata and Lingard are getting away with very little criticism, but they were worse IMO. They offered nothing in attack. As much as I like Mata as a person, he's not up to the required standard. We need to cash in on him in the summer.

[–]northy014Janeeeeet! -1ポイント0ポイント  (0子コメント)

Oh sod off. Our attack is broken, and configured so our only chances come down the left, and more to the point it's hardly happening because of something tactical or switches of play that would indicate that our team is working as a...team, it's because Martial is taking men on and consistently beating them.

Much of the issue is related to the fact that we don't have runners coming into the box for him to pass to, so his only option is to shoot from suboptimal positions.

Our major chance in the game came from him beating about three men, you're expecting him to essentially be 2013 Messi at barely 20. The issue is a) no runners in the box for him to pass to and b) no chances created in the middle or out right, so opposition teams know they can hobble us by sitting on Tony.
