Jealous of poor people.

I agree that generalizing welfare recipients is bad.

Most welfare recipients would swap places in a heartbeat and are dependent upon help, many for a short period of time. My wife's family needed help for a few months when she was young.

That said, there is also welfare fraud, I personally know two family's who abuse their welfare privilege. One couple both receive disability - they went to a dozen doctors before they found one who gave both of them disability. They also receive other benefits while working "under the table", not even paying taxes on their earnings. It's disgusting, and it happens.

The conversation needs to be about the benefits for people who need welfare, and a discussion about how to eliminate fraud which without a doubt exists.
