Libertarianism come from anarchism, not from classical liberal thought.

Anarchists tend to oppose capitalism so libertarianism doesn't sit too well with them. Libertarian thought is derived from the philosophy of John Locke who is the epitome of a classical liberal.

Or maybe you could read context and not be so high-horsed about being wrong when obviously we're obviously talking about modern American libertarianism.

Joseph Dejacque was the first to use "libertarian" as a label but his ideology vastly differed from what we commonly know today as libertarianism. Dejacque was much more left-wing whereas today's libertarian parties would be more right-wing. Many of these parties subscribe to classical liberalism as a part of their ideology.

Joseph Dejacque was an anarchist. The word come from "Le Libertaire" a french journal; maybe Dejacque was the one who suggested the word, but all the people involved in the journal at the time can be considered the first to call themselves libertarians.

It's pretty much know that the propertarians co-opted the word in USA and started to call themselves that way, but this doesen't mean is right nor all should do so. Fuck Rothbard, for what I care.
