Imagine a 22 year old coming into a new league and having a bad season. It happens and it should be expected. However, to not be trusted as soon you find some form and begin to look comfortable must be incredibly disheartening.

 

This kid was our summer signing to be excited about (before we bought Martial) and he doesn't even play. This is getting ridiculous. He is very clearly talented but this style of play evidently restricts him. Some fans were saying he looked like he didn't care if we won or lost but to me that is utter garbage. He is clearly a player who is very emotional on the pitch and this was even evidenced today with the little holding session with Kyle Walker.

 

I believe van Gaal has to go for Memphis to flourish but that doesn't mean I'm calling for van Gaal's head. I just don't believe Memphis feels comfortable playing in a possession-based team (though we're really not) and I don't believe van Gaal trusts him enough to play out his 'philosophy'.

 

I do not want to see this talent leave Old Trafford this summer. It would be a unbelievable mistake on our part and with that said, I can't wait to see him improve next year.
