I just started posting on r/anarchism again the other day. I haven't been on reddit for a few years, and at first I was happy to be around comrades again; I've been sequestered from city life and the internet for 3 years now. It's been a long time and I don't really recognise any of the current users.

Anyway, then I decided to look in on Meta; and my experience here made me immediately remember why I left civ behind in the first place.

I got jumped on by a bunch of salty assholes who repeatedly called me a sock, a troll and stupid all because I have a new account. I was trying to have a mature convo about democracy and it's fallacies.

Hannibal_Lecturer and Prince_Kropotkin were particularly abrasive, paranoid and unwelcoming.

So anyway, I'm getting out of here before my sanity lapses again. Thanks for helping me see my choice to live as a hermit was sound, mates. Hope you all find some kind of peace in your lives; this is no way to live.

I can't believe what a drama fest my thread has turned into. Back when I was here, everyone was worried that this would happen if we separated Meta from the main sub. I think the experiment is officially a failure.

Yeah, in case you haven't noticed, there's been a tidal wave of obvious new socks spamming the hell out of meta and making it little more than /r/banthosewhodisagree (/r/killthosewhodisagree on a bad day).

When half of these socks do the exact same stupid shit from the exact same playbook I don't think we need to beat around the bush and be nice to today's "we need to ban cis white sync0pates from running the sub!!11" troll alt.

So this proves you lie. I didn't post that on my first day. I only found that sub because someone linked to it on anarchism, and then I asked what the purpose of the sub was. So this is why you've been trolling me all over reddit for weeks?? Are you serious? What's so offensive about this?

/r/anarchism is still pretty OK if you ignore meta and ignore the newly emboldened "free speech" bros.

/r/socialanarchism is pretty chill, but less traffic than /r/anarchism.

/r/metanarchism is really just around for conflict at this point and is regularly brigaded by outside reactionaries and vote-bloc'ed by previously mentioned "free speech" bros.

I'd also like to log the same complaint about Prince_Kropotkin. I tried to post here on meta a couple times and both times he jumped down my throat, called me a sock, a troll, etc. I decided to stay away from Meta because of his behavior.

But that wasn't enough for him, for weeks he kept attacking me on r/drama - a place I don't even post on. His bros there kept messaging me so they could back him up and insult me every time he dropped my name. He keeps saying I'm another user, someone I've never even spoken to (eeplox), evidently just because we're both vegans. After apparently reading my whole post history last time I posted here, he even attacked me for being a vegan, saying I have 'bad nutrition' and give myself 'weird b12 shots'.

I can't believe what an enormous dick this dude is. Why would anyone new post here when he attacks every newcomer? It shouldn't surprise anyone why this place is the exclusive domain of him and his "free speech Bros", to borrow -Enkara-'s phrase. It's a toxic atmosphere.
