You're more likely to be struck by lightning twice while holding a winning lottery ticket, than "Europe to fall into civil war" ( Europe is not a country, dude, how could we break into civil war?)

Wrong. The only countries in the world are the USA, Mexico, Europe, Russia, and China

Australia waves back, from the Moon.

Appreciate the reply, obviously I know Europe is not a country, but you can't exactly say things are peachy and everyone is happy there right now.

It's not as a clean cut subject as you think. Europe's big, diverse and far from being equally plagued by all the "evils" the media has been telling you about.

My country has neither issues with the migrants, the refugees, or the terrorists and we're not a minority case here on Europe.

Regardless, that's neither here or there. You'll be a tourist, you'll very likely be away from any sketchy situations as it is.

And I guess really, that was what I was wondering. How integrated the migrant situation is into the tourist stuff. Seems the answer is 'safe'. Appreciated, Cheers

Civil War? Are you okay? Goddamn, you have more chances of getting killed in America than in Europe ya know

Good thing I'm Canadian :P

Europe is not about to have a civil war.

This question is so precious.

You should go travel, OP. Sleep in hostels. Learn how to cook local cuisine. Many hostels have kitchens so you can shop at the local market and cook for your new friends. It will change your life.

Just wondering if you've traveled before?

[–]reparapa[S] -1ポイント0ポイント  (4子コメント)

Never solo

[–]tengolacamisanegra 1ポイント2ポイント  (3子コメント)

It'll be the best experience of your life. Get a Couchsurfing account. Check out meetup groups when you're in Europe. Be open and talk to other travelers in hostels. I'm jealous. Wish I could do that all over again. Solo backpacking was the best thing I've ever done.

[–]reparapa[S] 1ポイント2ポイント  (2子コメント)

Appreciate the reply. Anything you would have done different if you could do it again? (other than do it again?)

[–]tengolacamisanegra 1ポイント2ポイント  (1子コメント)

I didn't use Couchsurfing and meetup enough while I was abroad, but I'm not sure how much more that would have made the already amazing experience better.

I was kind of shy when I was younger, so maybe I'd say, be open and don't be afraid to approach people and talk to them. A lot of people travel solo and are happy to have a travel companion for a day or two. I've had some of the most amazing and wonderful conversations with complete strangers whose words have stayed with me up until now. Have an amazing trip.

Thanks for the reply! I know how you feel. Striking up conversations with random strangers isn't exactly my forte. But this is both encouraging and enticing! Now I'm excited and I still have to pass my finals! Cheers!

No? What the heck has the media been telling you?

Just do it, maybe before things escalate further. Go to switzerland or scandinavia. Both safe areas. And beautiful scenery in most parts.
