The (literally) underground music venue is an interesting idea. You could continue to have some live music left on Rainey with less noise complaints.

It works well for NYC. Lots of restaurants/bars on the first floor that have a live music venue below street level.

Still a little unclear where this would go - that factory lot right across from Van Zandt where G'raj Mahal used to be? Or in between the end of the block and that white house with the yellow shutters? Maybe the development that they started at the food trucks is narrower than I thought.

Thanks! I just passed by it as I live on Rainey, and it's going in that parking lot that is currently fenced in - I saw the logo on the banner on that fence. I always forget about that space in between.

    I don't see this aging well. This style feels like the architectural equivalent of the rat tail or mullet, it seemed super cool at the time but looking back maybe not so much and it is likely to look dated fairly quickly.

    It's all a matter of taste of course, but this just looks like a barn or grain silo. No thought into it at all. I feel like there is a lot to be said for architecture that incorporates classic themes while adding something new and overall being pleasant to look at while also being useful.
