Let's talk about transfer fees (self.reddevils)

Does anyone else think the transfer fees are ridiculously high these days? £54 million for de Bruyne, £49 million for Sterling, £63 million pounds for James, £75 million pounds for a 28 year old Suarez.....I just feel the market is out of control.

All these players are very good, but I just can't see the justification of these prices. Back in the days these inflated prices were usually paid for a player that would get you something that no one else would, and for a considerable time. I am talking about the Zidanes, the Figos, the Ronaldos, players in the history books. Now it seems every top player or potential top player has a £50 million price attached to him.

Heck, even buy a decent player for below £25 millions if you're a big club seems impossible these days.

What do you guys think? Is the market out of control?

Why not, it's so much fun mate. Get a random player (must be good on fifa and youtube videos) and then slap a figure next to their name. A few sentences of bollocks and you're done.

    It's all relative to the revenue being generated. Transfer fee's have went up massively, but so has revenue.

    We're poised to be soon generating over £500,000,000 a year soon. Football has commercially grown tremendously the past 10 years.

    48.5m for Ronaldo will be peanuts when his image rights will bring in more than the transfer fee itself.

    Also when you got imbeciles like Woodward about who are willing to pay such massive fees(Sometimes for not so good players) then fees will be inflated.
