Carver???

That goes without saying. He's the best coach in England!

John Carver?

Allegri

Why? He's had a decade of incredibly average management in the league and has never showed he can make a squad play better than the sum of its parts.

Turned a champion Milan team into a lower half of the table team when he no longer had Zlatan and T. Silva saving his arse.

He's much more of an ego manager than someone who can turn these players into champions. He's the sort of guy you bring in when you have a superstar quad and want someone fairly hands off who makes sure the squad doesn't descend into infighting.

Also 0 experience managing outside Serie A.

Blanc, maybe?

Blanc has no control of his team. His RB is saying disrespectful comments towards him, then, I remember once, he tried to sub off David Luiz, and David Luiz refused to be subbed. I couldn't believe it.

Lol. Did this really happen. Ridiculous!

You're absolutely right. I'm french so I follow ligue 1 carefully. Blanc had a great season when he won the title with Bordeaux, but was fortunate to have an incredible season from Gourcuff (seriously, he was walking on water that season). But appart from that his management of the French national side was downright terrible, he would repeatedly call up players with terrible attitudes such as Menez, Ribéry, Nasri. He's very fortunate to have an incredible side with PSG but when big games arrive his tactical and human management limitations (evident against city this week) shine

Blanc is an interesting option but he hasn't impressed me with his CL exploits with PSG. I think some other managers may have been able to win a CL with PSG or at least semis, and it's largely looking like they will get knocked out by City again in the QF. So yea. It's interesting. I like the fact that he has assimilated Di Maria seamlessly and the style of play is good. He is also fortunate that he has Abu Dhabi money and can splurge for talent.

His record isn't that bad with PSG in the Champions League, this is only his third year as manager. First season PSG weren't the same side they are today and went out to a good Chelsea side under Mou. The season after he went out to the eventual winners.

I wouldn't say its likely that City will go through but they did play a good match the other day and often people forget just how good the City squad is. Regardless I still favor PSG to go through and I imagine most others do also. But in the case that they don't, it wouldn't be a massive disaster, anything can happen over two legs afterall.

Allegri, Simeone, Klopp, and Ancelotti.

All unrealistic

Simeone aside I don't think a single one of them wins the league with a 100 million budget.

I don't mind defensive football but people bitching about the ugly style of play would lose their minds if we played like Atletico.

Ancelotti and Klopp don't exactly have very good records winning leagues. I'd be shocked if Liverpool make top 4 next season.

Liverpool will get top 4 next season, I'm unfortunately sure of it. Klopp is an excellent manager at working with the kind of squad he has at Liverpool. He adds one or two players with some quality and they will be taking their chances which they create a ton of in matches. I hate to say it, but Klopp has turned this Liverpool team into one that absolutely nobody wants to play against.

Klopp has turned this Liverpool team into one that absolutely nobody wants to play against.

You can say similar things about Pulis. Unpleasant pressing doesn't make a great team. He took years to do anything useful with Mainz or Dortmund, he's never been a short term fix his entire career.

He also relegated a ridiculously talented Mainz team and almost relegated an incredible Dortmund team. A squad that's having the best season in 2 decades now that Tuchel's in charge.

I think Klopp's the most overrated manager in world football. He plays dinosaur tactics.

I agree, but I was answering OP's question.

I wasn't a big fan of Allegri because of his treatment of Pirlo at Milan, but I am quite impressed with how he turned around a shaky start at Juve, and has kept Juve competitive. I don't think we could realistically get him since he just got there.

We cannot get any of these managers. The best option is Mourinho.

It doesn't really matter whether or not we can get them.

None of them are as good as Mourinho.

Even if they're available we would be incredibly stupid to pass on Mourinho to sign them.

Trust me, mate. I know. I am the biggest advocate for Mourinho on this sub.

I think Poch could get us there in two years.

pochetino

No one, we need 3 or 4 ready made WC players to finish the squad off, that's a couple of hundred million at least.

What you guys think about Claudio ranieri? I think this is very risky, as he has never managed a top club before but idk..

Used to manage chelsea, roma, and im probably forgetting one

I'm surprised no one (yet) is mentioning Ranieri. Even with all the praise Pochettino is getting, praise for Ranieri has been strangely absent.

Oh come on.

He's a 64 year old man who has managed for 30 years and this season will be the highlight of his career.

[–]House_Of_LannisterLVG 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

Pretty impressive highlight

I'll throw out another name, a bit radical: Pellegrini?

Someone who will be without a job at the end of this season and with a point to prove perhaps, his teams play very attacking football, maybe not as flexible in setting up, but has experience in the EPL, generally a calm guy.

Have you been drinking, his present team which is stacked with WC players a lot of them having been there for a few years, £140m+ on 3 players last summer while we're still rebuilding an entire squad on a less net spend and they're 1 point above us SMH.

Imagine how embarrassing that would be. Taking City's fucking leftovers. Fuck that. He's not even that good anyway, their squad has been under-performing all season.

He has the same record as us with a squad 10 times better.

How the fuck can someone say LvG isn't doing well enough with this lot and then suggest Pellers?
