What deals is Chelsea getting done in April? lol

I believe he's referring to the deals they're trying to get done with Naingolan and Pjanic.

Supposedly the Nainggolan deal is near done. Di Marzio released pictures of Nainggolan's agent outside of Stamford Bridge.

Yeah I heard that, as nice as it sounds to get Renato Sanches and all that we need some experienced, proven players brought in this year, maybe LVG isn't what we need for that, maybe he is but experienced proven players is what we need.

They did just appoint a new manager, unlike us. We're sitting here contemplating whether to fire a manager who has failed the club this season or stick with the same garbage philosophy for another season.

We're trying to win a place in CL. Why in the hell would we be firing our manager right now and "making deals," as you say?

So what just fact we trying so desperate to get in CL and praise it as good thing should be reason for instant door out of club.

He should have been long gone. He should have been gone in December.

This is literally a joke at this point. We struggle to even get a shot on goal.

Can you tell me the last time Manchester United struggled to even get a shot on goal?

So if we fired him in December we would already be top 4?

Much better chance than hoping one of the teams above us choke and fall out of the top 4.

We've seen on countless occasions new managers come in, and the results improve. Look at Liverpool. They looked lifeless under Rodgers, but have looked much better since Klopp's arrival.

That's pure starry-eyed conjecture.... and Klopp has led Liverpool to pretty much the same place Rodgers led them to last year. Maybe you should focus your anger on the players rather than the coach.

Who bought a vast majority of these players? LvG.

We have a manager though....

[–]DatGuyRichMartial 13/12. DAMN SON 0

How do you know we're contemplating?

Ummm, have you seen our results? Name me one "big" club that would not have sacked their manager after those December results or getting eliminated in a humiliating fashion from the UCL group stages?

Our board are completely incompetent and cannot see the failure right in front of them.

[–]DatGuyRichMartial 13/12. DAMN SON 1

lolz Mourinho wouldn't have come mid season and Giggs did not want to be interim. How hard is that for people to understand?

Get someone else, literally anyone else. Tell Fred the Red to take over. Anybody would do a better job than LvG. Anyone.

Why can't we find someone like Hiddink? A caretaker until the end of the season.

Nainggolan 100% its done before the euros

I agree with the sentiments of other posters. We just don't know for sure what is going on behind the scenes.

However, it does seem clear that there has been a lot of briefing coming out of the Giggs camp over recent months, including all those former players saying he should take over: Yorke, Ince, Robson, Ferdinand, Sharpe, etc. [http://www.espnfc.us/club/manchester-united/360/blog/post/2830026/which-former-manchester-united-players-back-ryan-giggs]

This spate of comments from legends is not a coincidence in my opinion. Then, Fergie coming out with his "give Van Gaal time" comments in the Sky interview last week. It all reeks of a sustained campaign from the Fergie/Giggs camp.

No one can deny that Fergie is among the greatest football managers of all time. But he has his weaknesses.

He has been notoriously greedy, most notably the Rock of Gibraltar affair, which played a part in allowing Glazers to seize control of the club. He has also maintained personal vendettas against the best interests of the club, like his refusal to talk to the BBC for years.

He selected Moyes - a man who clearly lacks the personality to be a leader for a club of our size - for whatever reason. A major misjudgment. And he said he'd step away from the frontline of the club on retirement - with his £2m ambassador's salary - but instead his figure looms large from the stands at every game.

If he continues to push Giggs - as I believe the evidence shows he is doing - it further proves Fergie's lack of judgment at this level. I do hope he takes a step back from the club. He'll always be a legend but his legacy risks becoming tarnished if he continues to meddle behind the scenes.

He selected Moyes

Moyes wasn't his first choice iirc, as he wrote in one of his books.

[–]the_trainmanRooney 0ポイント1ポイント  (2子コメント)

There is no Civil War, my friend. We have no idea what's happening behind the scenes and it might be that all talks/deals are taking place in the background and United is just better than most in making sure nothing is leaked out. Give it time and if United has to announce something, they will in due course.

Also, you can't seriously say that Fergie 'ruined the club.' Please tell me you're joking...

Fergy helped make this club something that could be ruined. Show some respect.

So since he helped make it, we should let him ruin it? Ok, that makes sense.

Why are you so confident that Ferguson is doing anything now anyways? Moyes was his appointment, it failed miserably and he was sacked. At this point the board thinks twice about anything he has to say. If the rumours are true and Mourinho is indeed coming in we know Ferguson doesn't necessarily like him, therefore it's quite clear that he's not involved in much decision making.

That's hardly what I meant. I am saying Sir Alex helped get this club in a position where you can expect success. You don't have a clue what's going on. Fed up of people jumping down the throat of players and staff.

Chelsea bringing a new manager in is much easier to do since their current manager is interim and he was always going to leave at the end of the season anyway. LVG's future still hangs in the balance.

Let's get one thing straight. You're a fan. You live and breathe a million miles away from the processes and decisions that have made this club the great institution for which you've chosen to be fanatical. Part of the people that made this club what it has become are Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson. You sit here and make all this ludicrous comments about what should be and what shouldn't even though your largest contribution to the club to the success of the club is the home kit you purchased at a 50% discount. These men have lived this club since before you were born. Your ignorance is appalling and your judgement downright foolish. Those 2 men can easily be credited for the lofty heights this club has reached in the last 3 decades. If they believe the direction the club should be going isn't Mourinho, then your idea to the contrary is at best an opinion. But spewing this garbage that they should leave the club because you think they're somehow holding the club back is absolutely ludicrous. I have no idea how people are upvoting this comment. Not only do you not have a full context of why Sir Alex and Sir Bobby might hold the positions about Mourinho that they do, you have no idea what it actually means to run a billion dollar corporation. So forgive me if I find your stupidity appalling and quite disgraceful for that matter. There should never and I mean NEVER come a time when it becomes ok to disrespect such legends of the club simply because you think your fanaticism somehow earns you the right to a trophy or some decision you believe might be correct. You wake up and live your life, THIS, this football club Manchester United, is these mens life. That's what they wake up in the morning to do. That's what their job. Show some goddamn respect.

Living in Manchester or being born in Manchester doesn't mean you have any more say about the processes and decisions that made this club what it is today than a kid living in China. You live a million miles away from the processes and decisions, not the club. Good for you.

Sure, you're a season ticket holder. I'm happy for you. your contribution to the club is infinitesimal and could easily be replaced by anyone of the millions of fans around the world. Not to mention the club's riches are not amassed from ticket sales but rather the commercial deals that have been fostered over the years.

The decision making board is completely independent of the board on which Sir Bobby and Sir Alex seat. You should know that seeing as you live and breathe Manchester.

I'll explain this to you one more time. We need to be challenging for the title not just this one year, or the next, but consistently. And to do that, the board has decided to rebuild the squad. Remove old and dying players, bring in new blood. Introduce a playing style that can serve as the foundation for all new styles that makes the club consistently formidable both domestically and in Europe. Establish a system that is independent on the availability of any one brilliant manager for success. We're in that process. LVG was hired for that process and has said from the start, it'll take 3 seasons. The second seasons has obviously brought us unprecedented amount of injuries which have made it tough to achieve our goals. But in spite of all that, we still sit at the cusp of UCL qualification while our competitors who have no similar excuse of transitions or an injury crises are still in grabbing distance.

I challenge you to be a reasonable human being and attempt to comprehend the things I've just listed above. Accepting a 4th place finish this season isn't accepting mediocrity, it's understanding the challenges a rebuilding squad is expected to face in delivering results coupled with an unprecedented injury crises. Surely you can understand why it would be difficult to mount a title challenge in those circumstances. If you can't then I'm sorry I can't help you.

I at least expected us to get out of the group stages of the UCL, as did Ed Woodward when he told investors United would be looking to make it into the final 8 of Europe.

Yes, we all expected to get out of the UCL group stage. But if we always got what we expected football would be quite boring you see. Not to mention it's become quite evident of late that our group was not quite as easy as it seemed back then and we had to play a critical game with several young players. Yeah yeah, we should have beated PSV at home and we didn't. Sure but shit happens. That's not the basis on which an entire project should be dumped. That's unreasonable.

Whatever you think of LVG, the fact is this squad is in the middle of a rebuild and were it not for all the injuries we had this season, we'd surely be doing better than Arsenal and City right now.
