FAQ For common problems (self.OpenBazaar)

I have seen a lot of people saying they are getting cannot connect to server.

I have seen a lot of people saying they can't see listings?

Can we have like a thread explaining or like a help thread. Just don't think they should be so visible.

To add I don't get any of these issues so it's making it look like openbazaar is rubbish but really it rocks. So can we keep it to one post not 20.

The problem i the majority of people are having problems and it seems only a lucky few cna connect. How about Open Bazaar admits they have a big problem and is worknig on it.

To "rub salt in the wound" the 2 updates they have done are worse for connectivity than the original! so not a good start, more and more posts are going to appear.

The last update V1.1.2 said it had resolved connection issues.

What OS?

Brian is working on fixing the DLL issue on windows. Packing this thing for windows isn't easy. So bare with us.

There were a few bugs we fixed.

1) The libbitcoin servers seem to be having a hard time with curve enabled. I think the libbitcoin team is working on it so we disabled it for now.

2) The number of nodes in the network was causing a high CPU load for some people so I reduced the number of network connections it maintains and some other optimizations.

Other than that there was some small downtime for the seeds but ours is back up.

If you are still having problems maybe send me your debug.log

After updating to V1.1.2 I have error

Error loading Python DLL: C:\Users\1\AppData\Local\OpenBazaar\app-1.1.2\resource s\OpenBazaar-Server\python27.dll (error code 14001)

My OpenBazaar worked before on v1.1.0

What can I do? My operating system is Windows 7 x64.

I first tried OB with V1.1.1 yesterday and got the unable to connect to server issue. Tried again with V1.1.2 today, and then also tried with V1.1.0 all getting the same issue. These were all on the 64 bit versions for windows 7.

Some other minor issues. There's no close/exit button on the UI, I have to right click on the task bar and close it. When i run the setup the first time it installs to somewhere without giving me an option of where it installs to. The tutorial is outdated, I've only ever seen the first server setup screen, but that screen isn't in the tutorial.

Also I don't see why i'd need to setup a server just to browse other stores.
