Visiting Old Trafford - Suggestions (self.reddevils)

So I'm going to be visiting London for 4-5 days in about a month or so (I'm not from the UK), and I would like to sneak in a day to go to Manchester and visit Old Trafford (childhood dream). It won't be possible for me to stay over night, so I would be looking to catch an early train into Manchester, take a tour and head back in the evening or night. My question is, is this possible? Also what tour should I take and where should I book it? The manutd.com booking portal shows the entire month of May as unavailable for the stadium and museum tour. Would really appreciate suggestions/opinions.

just get an early train there and a late one back, I'm assuming it won't be a match day when you visit so it should be quiet around too (especially if its midweek). As for the tours I can't help there as its been years since I went on one, you can probably book one off the united site though! Also be sure to book your train tickets early as prices can go up the later you book. Hope this somewhat helped!

Train is very doable. Takes about two hours and there are two every hour up to one point.

Can't help you with tours either, email/phone someone and see to make sure. If it is then you can still go to the stadium. Manchester also has a great football museum too if you had time.
