Same team as the last two matches, maybe with Herrera coming in for Carrick, or Mata at 10. But I have a feeling we might see Fellaini.

Edit: CBJ or The Fosu in for Rojo as well.

I agree with leaving Rojo and Carrick out, both have been in poor form imo. Would also like to see more of TFM

Wouldn't call Carrick's form poor. He had a poor game against Everton, but was great against City. I'd actually like to see a midfield three of Schneiderlin-Carrick-Herrera. Don't think Schneiderlin-Herrera-Mata would fare well against Dier-Dembele-Alli.

I don't think he's offered much going forward and has had a tendency to misplace passes which I think Tottenham could capitalize on. I think Schneiderlin-Herrera-Mata would do quite well against Dier-Dembele-Alli. I think Schneiderlin could shut down Alli with Herrera helping along with tracking some of Dembele's runs + getting forward in attack. Then I would give Mata a free role to win the battle against Dier.

Carrick's a better passer than both Schneiderlin and Herrera. One poor game doesn't change that fact.

St - Martial

LW - Memphis

AM - Fellaini

RW - Lingard

CM - Schneiderlin

CM - Herrera

LB - Rojo

CB - Blind

CB - Smalling

RB - Darmian

We won't out posses them, they play a very high intensity game and won't give our players half a second on the ball. For this reason, Carrick and Mata are pretty surplus to the team. Herrera isn't great defensively but he works hard and draws fouls breaking the flow of play, just like Schneiderlin. This is what really broke Spurs against Arsenal, they played a brilliant first 30 minutes but Arsenal managed to slow the game right down and as a result, Spurs looked less effective. Spurs have some good players in the air and our team lacks tall players, Fellaini was born to defend corners and nick cheap goals from set pieces. He may not have the technical ability but can physically compete with Dier, Mata cannot. All round, he offers a little more defensively than Mata. I feel our best bet of beating Spurs is on the counter or nicking a goal from a set piece, I'd be very surprised if we went to outplay them and won.

A draw wouldn't be a terrible result though. We'll have a chance to catch City up later on but for me, this is our hardest game left.

Schneiderlin and Herrera seem to normally play well together, more movement and more desire to go get the ball back rather than wait for it. I do think Rojo can be a good player but as he showed against Everton he has that 'Heinze'ness in him as well so I would like to CBJ again

I don't remember much of him. What is Heinzeness?

Drop Carrick and Rojo for Herrera and TFM.

I want to see Rooney back and leading if he is healthy, if not Lingard.

------------------- Rashford ---------------

Martial (or Memphis) --- Rooney --- Mata

-------- Schneiderlin ---- Herrera ---------

Darmian --- Blind ----- Smalling ----- TFM

------------------- De Gea ----------------

I really debated putting Rooney over Rashford. Rashford has been playing well, but for some reason I feel like Rooney is going to come back from injury and bang in goals for the remainder of the season. I can dream.
