Lefties would absolutely hate a Cruz/Walker ticket :)

I love Scot Walker but I think he is exactly were he is needed right now in Wisconsin. Anyone could be a VP but not any Republican could win consecutive governorship in a blue state.

Wisconsinite here. I can confirm it's not a blue state. It's a "purple" state. How it swings in national elections is much different than the boots on the ground. Let's not forget, Walker was elected three times and over the nearly quarter century, the GOP controlled the Assembly minus two years.

From my experience living a short time in Wisconsin: Madison is the bluest city I've ever been to, but literally EVERYWHERE else is red, especially out in the farm and country. So "purple" would be an accurate description for the state as a whole.

Totally agree. Madison is a great city, but hardly represents the state as a whole. Five years ago, the unions bussed in protesters from Milwaukee and Chicago because those 100k weren't coming from Dane County.

Imagine 8 years of Cruz and then 8 years of Walker. We might actually right the ship. Progressive butthurt would be chart topping too.

They are supposed to move to Canada or something. Racist assholes won't move to Mexico....

Racist assholes won't move to Mexico....

Canada is clearly in better shape than Mexico. It's not about race.

IDK, Mexico city hosts a lot of people from all over the world.

You want the end of all progressives? 8 years of Cruz, 8 years of Mike Lee, and Ben Shapiro has said on multiple occasions that he will be open to running for office eventually so how about 8 years of that?

At this point, Shapiro is about the only person I'd want for the job more than Cruz.

Shapiro for President please!

Mike Lee for SCOTUS!

[–]GaroldWilsonSnailJrConstitutional Conservative [

Yes! Although I'd hate to lose his voice in the Senate, I'm sure the good people of Utah will elect someone nearly as good and it would be well worth it!

I personally know at least 2 potential candidates for Hatch's seat in 2018. If Lee leaves too, then it'll only be that much easier to elect them both

Don't forget about Mr. Amash either. We've got a solid bench. It comes down to crafting the right message and motivating the base. People thought Reagan was great? A complicit Congress and a few of those guys at the helm and we could see some real progress.

Not to mention, the advancements that could be made by judicial appointments. It'd be so nice to see pro gun cases not get shot down on .fed court because of "feels"

As a (especially today) proud Wisconsinite I'd love this ticket. But I'm not opposed to Cruz/Rubio to help get his supporters and personality.

Yeah, if Cruz could win Wisconsin on his own, I think Rubio would help make it up to Florida who really needed Cruz's and Rubio's votes together to win.

And of course all the other states where Rubio was a strong competitor alongside Cruz.

Unlike Trump, I know whoever Cruz chooses will be principled and committed to the cause. Trump could choose Honey Boo Boo, I have no goddamn clue.

If his campaign manager Katrina Pierson is any indication, we can pretty much rest assured that he'll choose someone strongly anti-conservative.

Pierson is his spokeswoman. Corey Lewandowski is his campaign manager. Neither are fantastic human beings.

I'm pretty sure Pierson was his manager at least at one time.

So would a majority of registered voters.

I don't think Cruz/Walker would be strong enough with women to beat Hillary. If Ted is smart he will pick Haley or Kasich.

Is Kasich supposed to pull in women? He did take action against Planned Parenthood in Ohio which earned him a decent amount of ire (at least among young women I know).

[–]GaroldWilsonSnailJrConstitutional Conservative [

I think he's just leveraging what delegates he hopes to acquire for a higher office. The man is literally hoping for a brokered convention so he can just be "appointed" the nominee yet he has the nerve to lecture the other candidates on their morality and the way they conduct themselves.

He's supposed to pull in Ohio.

I think Cruz will win Ohio and Florida. What will be important is pulling in Virginia. Unfortunately, the last Republican Governor of Virginia is now in jail. He actually would've been a good candidate this year, had he not gone to jail, but that's unfortunate. Bill Boling could be a choice out of left field though or maybe even Eric Cantor

[–]Teive [

Had he not gone to jail, or had he not committed crimes?

None of them can win a general unless Hillary gets indicted during the campaign. Which is probably what will end up happening.

Comey is a republican. He knows what he needs to do.

Polls show Hillary Has higher negatives with women than Trump or Cruz so don't assume gender is a plus for the Hildabeast.

[–]GaroldWilsonSnailJrConstitutional Conservative [

I think it's all about getting your own party and some independents to turn out. If the polls includes women who are solidly on the republican side, it doesn't really matter what they have to say because they aren't voting democrat no matter who the nominee is.

Wouldn't it be smarter to pick Rand to get the Libertarian vote?
