The subreddit r/exterminatethejews has been active for much longer than that. I'm not sure exactly how long, but I'm going to guess that it's been active for over a month. My sub was not active. I posted around 10 things and kind of forgot about it. I decided to check on my baby today and to my surprise, it was banned! :o I checked r/exterminatethejews and it was banned too! At the same time! I didn't even get a message from an admin soooo I don't know exactly why it was banned. Reddit kind of surprised me because I assumed that my subreddit would be banned while r/exterminatethejews still stands, and I was prepared to start a shitstorm haha.
I know this is probably NOT the chosen method to deal with the issue but I believe that it really worked. Some white people probably got really worked up over it as soon as they saw it (I didn't really broadcast the sub at all) and it got taken down really quickly. I wonder what would happen if more plain old white people hate subs were created. Would reddit see the issue once the hate is pointed towards them? Maybe they don't think hate speech online is that serious because they can't emphasize or understand how frightening and disheartening it is to constantly see it.
