Does anyone want a translation of the article?

The article basically just says that:

  • He rejected the offer to become the KNVB's (Dutch FA) Director of Football

  • How this season ends will decide his future at MUFC

  • Between now and the end of May, both parties (LVG and MUFC) will look if they see enough perspective to go in to LVG's third year together

Exactly. It's just that I think, people think that he would take that role for a year or so as he might leave United this summer but it would seem if he does leave, it'll be for an earlier retirement instead which is perfectly cool for him and his family anyway.

It's not a guy, it's a newspaper. Dagblad = Day paper/magazine (If Dutch is anything like Norwegian).

They've got similar roots being Germanic based. Definitely could tell some words are related to Swedish at times too and figure out the meaning when trying to glance through a text. Of course, that's only the case for some words.

Which I've been saying for a while now. Let the man finish the season. Most likely top 4/high FA cup placement means hes gonna stay. If he doesnt make either and united don't get CL he's pretty much done.

Next season if he doesnt perform by december and isnt in contentiom to win the league or anything he will be sacked for Giggs. Can't fault the club to stickimg what they believe in.

So.... Let him scrape through on the back of a genuinely poor season by many accounts and actually doing worse off/par as last season... Then let him continue when things haven't gotten better... For half a year.

And then sack him to replace with the most experienced.... No most qualified.... No wait... Most knowledgeable.... Oh no... Not that either. The guy who's never managed a team before. Yes. And hope, by all accounts, he turns it around in HALF a season now... With new tactics (well hopefully since if LvG is to be sacked in December of this year, it means his tactics have failed for sure) that not only take time, implementation and also new training methods. That take time to settle and click.

And then sacrifice the hair of a horny goat so we somehow salvage it midway.

If not? Oh well. £25m less from Adidas is all.. No big deal. Then summer comes along and we let him continue to struggle. And sack giggs in December next year if it still doesn't improve or gets worse. And maybe hire Neville next time.
