That's INCREDIBLE dude!! Congratulations on your degrees! You're doing solid.

When I left school I was offered a measly $7.75 and I lived near the biggest city in Canada!

It was amazing. I learned personal finance. I learned restraint. I learned how to love Mr. Noodle.

I woke up at 6 am to take the first train out to my job (which started at 7:30, but there were a bunch of buses in the way). I worked my ass off for a year, and then I was the Assistant Manager of a tiny store. (Hourly $$9.50)

I then left (because I was always looking up) for a great contractor job at a Fortune 500 company where my job could have been cut withing a second and I would have had no recourse. (Hourly about $11).

I worked my ass off.

I was 'purchased' by the Fortune 500 company (hashtag tempworkers matter - no, fuck you I'm not doing the proper reddit code for /# ).

I started at the bottom, now I'm not there.

But it was the better part of a decade working my ass off, getting promoted. Then again. Then moving to a better department, and then another. Using my contacts/people who are still my fucking friends, no, I don't just use people, you're friends that you've made, who you've worked with, who know how hard you work are ALLOWED to help you progress in your career, I progressed as far as I could go in that company at that time.

My buddy at another company got me in touch with people that made my next bunch of years awesome, which incidentally led to my wife, who allowed for my career change into something entirely different, which makes me happy, and more importantly makes me happy.

I could go on but...

Shut the fuck up and get to work... it's a long climb but I believe in you princess!
